    Default New EFI Cultus with 16 Valve Engine

    Today i visited Suzuki Olympia motors and i was very surprised to see new Cultus VXRi. and it was really amazing to see that this cultus have 1.0 16 Valve EFi engine..

    Now this machine would definately be fast and furious in 1.0 category

    The interior is also changed with new cd player.

    Well I visited the showroom today with excitement ............. but my excitement vanished at the very first sight. The car is the same ..... body is the same ......... only change is that instead of 2 piece front and rear bumber they have made it a single unit bumper. The front lights have been tinted as light blue. The interior is the same. Dont go by the ad. Since the LIANA is not selling much they have introduced chrome outlines in door handles and A/c ducts outlets. Have MP3/CD player instead of old stereo. Seat and dorr fabric has changed but changed for worst. The previos one was better. I beleive it will not sell much as it used to ..... I its re-sale will definitely go down. The CNG system is the same as of LIANA .... direct injection ...... which means you have to have laptop and software to adjust the minor settings. The old carbi engine car was much better as compared to price. The VXRi is of 632,000/- and VXLi is for 694,000/-.

    and ............ for such price we are missing very common things in it like rear wiper, fog lights, Auto transmission, power outside mirrors etc ............. I was very happy to see the ad ............ but when I saw the machine it really let me down ..... It is not a good work by PAK SUZUKI ...... lets hope they change the vehicle as per our requirements and need .......

    geely ck 1.3 cng best value for money i think, also the car u can't just keep side cos its almost same engine of toyota, so spares of engine wont be a big deal, as far as other body parts concerns, that would only depends on company's outlets, anyways ........
    they better change there name from SUZUKi to SANNDOKiii ....

    The Eng. used by PAK S is G10b used by Suzuki india 1994 with Suzuki Zem as well as this enginee was used in Altoi

    Saw the new cultus personally today. The showroom was hot as an oven,,so it was pretty difficult actually standing there. Khair i was disappointed by the cultus, the quality seems to have deteriorated further, with the plastics used being of unacceptable quality. Dont know if i had very high expectations or what,,, ...have been informed that initially only VXRi petrol version will be available (that too on 25~30K Own).... Engine used is G10B...attaching pics.. lets see how successful this car ends up being, now that carby engine is gone

    Here is the G10 wiki.

    (Keep in mind, its not G10b. There are two version 3 cyl (1.0 lit) and 4 cyl (1.3 lit). It seems that Paksuzuki has engineered the 4 cyl (1.3 lit) bore to bring it down to 1.0 lit) link

    The G10 is an inline 3 cylinder engine utilizing aluminum alloy for the block, cylinder head and pistons. The G10 has 1.0 liter of displacement and is equipped with either a carburetor or electronic fuel injection and has an optional turbocharger. It has a single overhead camshaft driving six valves.

    A 2.91 in (73.9 mm) bore and 3.03 in (77 mm) stroke give the engine a total of 1.0 L (993 cc/60 in³) of displacement. It produces 48 hp (36 kW) at 5100 rpm and 57 ft·lbf (77 N·m) at 3200 rpm with 9.5:1 compression in the carburated model, 55 hp (41 kW) at 5700 rpm and 58 ft·lbf at 3300 rpm in the fuel injected model.

    From 1985 to 1986 the engine used a hemispherical head carbureted design. Later, as fuel injection was mandated, the cylinder head was redesigned to add the additional cooling required. This caused the fuel economy of the engine to suffer. A detuned 49 hp unit was used in the ultra-fuel-efficient Geo Metro XFi model, which delivered as much as 58 miles per gallon.

    As the 3-cylinder engines aged however, they began to become less stable and subject to vibration as well as minor deficiencies in the fuel injection system that led to decreased fuel economy. A flaw exists in 3-cylinder engines equipped with an EGR valve - if the valve fails or the EGR passages become blocked, the center combustion chamber can get too hot, and over time, lose compression due to exhaust valve failure.

    There's also in some parts of the world a turbocharged version of the G10: the G10bt. This engine delivers 73hp@4500rpm and 115lbs/ft@3500rpm. That engine was installed in Canadian Firefly/Metro/Sprint/Forsa.

    PakSuzuki can Change the Engine Codes.... No Problem for them...


    as i earliear mentioned, There isn't any 4 banger G10"x" Engine Suzuki Manufactured.



    The Most probable Engine ACTUALLY in the """New""" Cultus is F10D (which is quiet a capable engine).


    btw: FYI: G10B was the 3cyl Carb you had on the Cultus previously and Cultus owners can testify this.. So how can there be Two Engines with the Same Code?!?! - This is where "PakSuzuki" comes in! lolz!

    G series engine has six or eight valves hence OHC.
    This engine has 16 vlaves (as the thread title tells) suggesting what DOHC?
    The Engine is surely not F10A.
    The above wiki tells:
    1. When G engine was first converted to EFi it caused fuel economy to suffer.
    2. A flaw exists in 3-cylinder engines equipped with an EGR valve..........
    3. The G series was made in 1984 and EFI was in 1985.

    What i understand is...

    G10 came in only inline-3 SOHC with EFI and Carb
    In G13 only G13B was inline-4 DOHC with EFI and Carb

    so G10B of Cultus is modified G13B.

    according to wikipedia in 1993 Suzuki Alto there was a smaller variant G10B (993cc).

    Hopefully a gud news for people who disliked Cultus and definitely they should as no performance meeting equipments.

    Lookinig up for response in an EFi- 4 Cylinder, 16 valve engine.

    Price is 597,000 for Petrol and 627,000 for CNG versions.

    sum body here told me that cars with efi engines have rectangular air filter
    but i saw cultus efi with a round shaped air filter

    secondly i noticed it was writen g10 so if G10 engines are not 2 valve then how it can be 16 valve?

    on baleno i think g13 b is written.
    does this B affects ?

    Suzuki Swift MK3 (1992 - 1994)
    The MK3 series continued with the body-style of the MK2, but changed the style of the bumpers, taillights and updated the interior. GT/GTi versions were equipped with larger sway-bars, and the camshafts were now solid. Power output remained the same at 100hp. Production of the MK3 Swift for the North American market ended in 1994, and in Japan (as the Cultus) for 1998. In Europe, the MK3 series was known as "MK2 - Type2", incorrectly called Phase 2 by many, and it was built at Magyar Suzuki, remaining in various European countries until 2003. In Esztergom, Hungary the first car was madw in September 1992. This was called type 1 (MK2 - type 2). From 1996 type 2 followed (MK3 - type 1). From the model year 2000 there were some modifications made (MK3 - type 2). Some type 2 models were badged as Subaru Justy. The last modifications were made from model year 2002. This was called type 4 (MK3 - type 3). The production of the 3dr models were finished in September 2002. In the same year, in December, the 4dr sedan version was also discontinued. The last var was a 5dr version in March 2003. The 5dr models are still manufactured in Pakistan (called the Cultus, 1.0 carbureted engine operating with petrol & CNG), and the 4dr sedan in India (by Maruti, called the Esteem) and in China (by Changan, called the Lingyang) In Australia, the MK3 series continued sales until 1999.
