Thread: 1300cc engine in Cultus

    Default 1300cc engine in Cultus

    I am a 2004 cultus CNG user and sick of the problems the engine is giving me. I have got the engine overhauled and now I have multiple problems.
    The worst thing is the engine being extremely underpowered.
    I am planing to repalce the engine with a 1300 cc Marghala Unit.
    Is this conversion easy and how to go bout it.
    Or should I go for it at all?

    Buksh already said the right thing , go to any good mechanic or the suzuki dealer to help u out .
    An engine swap will just be a headache ..!

    Bro u have no idea how much time it takes to reach 115km/h and if i change the gear then it gives me 90km/h, and i have seen other cultuses doing 130km/h on cng with AC.

    dear friend

    mine cultus is reaching 130 KM/H on CNG with AC very easily. i am just using bosch 2 point plugs with a good tuning ... no other mods ...

    However i am not use to of doing it as i want my car to live longer with me ...

    i also hav a khyber in lush condition n i hav seen 1.3 efi turbo engine of 99 cultus sports japan assembled engine n it fits in khyber easily. i hav collected all the info abt tat engine. but sum people advice me to put 1.3 baleno engine. baleno engine is not bad if v put late baleno engine

    Well i had problem of progressively decreasing torque and power specially in fifth gear it would go to 120 KPH in 4th but then come back to 100-105 in 5th.
    It appeared that valves were too tight and combustion was not appropriate ruining the pick and the economy.
    I changed the gas kit + valves ; only costed me 7500 ( inclusive of labour) and thats just 2 weeks back, now car can do 135 in 5th on motorways ( with A/C regularly tripping) that is if U set ur thermostat to higher temperature.
    And about changing irridium plugs yes it does work for some time, but then its gonna ruin ur economy and worst of all put more and more strain on ur weakened valves, SO BEST OPTION IS TO CHANGE UR VALVES.

    You must be talking about the cultus MK-1 Khyber shape.
    Cultus mounts are different
