Default Cultus 2007 CNG Engine Ring/Piston Out of Order

I have a Suzuki Cultus VXR (Non EFI) which I had purchased zero meter in April 2007 and it has done only 12600KMs. 2 days back a krr krr sound started coming from the engine and I got it check in the company along with 2 other mechanics and all of them told me that the engine has some fault and for this they need to open up the engine.

Yesterday I handed over the car to the mechanic and he opened up the engine in front of me and he showed me the piston with a lot of scratches along with the gap between the wall and the piston was also a lot as compared to normal gap. The gap for the tappets was also minimal and quite jam.

How come this issue came in a car which is properly maintained, driven by single driver only and driven 25KMs only a day.

Experts need your comments and suggestion regarding this issue.

2nd oil change at 9800 that was late but still engine should not fail by just 1 or 2 late oil changes engines are strong and even if you continue this habbit of late oil change the cultus engine should have atleast crossed 60000 km before any prob.

I guess you are one of the unlucky owners who got a cultus with defected engine.

Who is ur mechanic? Make sure he does a good job this time you dont want to open this engine one more time.

1st at 500Kms and 2nd at 9800KMs dont you think its enough to spoil an engine + CNG

As I change the oil for my car after 1K. and its on Petrol. 2006 Aug VXR.

I dont know what kind of engine Cultus has, but, oil change is totally Unnecessary before 5,000 kms for Any New car, if you keep on changing oil at 5,000 kms then there is no worry.
The cars that i have kept in the last 15 years, only Mehran needs oil change at 3,000- 4,000 kms, others go fine until 5,000.
Currently i change my spectra's oil at 7,000 kms, which mostly includes long runs, the condition of exhast is grey, no carbon comes on my finger tip Removing the oil cap, shows a clean shining inside but yes i change its oil filter with every oil change with its original one.

About my Daewoo, its now 1,55,000 kms done, has a grey exhaust on cng, throwing water, oil change at 5,000 to 6,000 kms with its original oil filter.

^^^But ALi the difference between the first and the second oil change is too much. and enough to spoil the engine.

Not at all i think even though 2nd oil change was late but still this should not damage the engine this much that u have to open up the engine.

@abasitsp: I think the second oil change delay is the culprit. I my opinion new cars engine oil should be changed on time or before time if one can, cause during this period the new parts in the engine are going through some ware and tare and this initial period, which brings little metal particles in the oil, which can cause the Ring/Piston Damage. (@all this is my opinion/assumption)

Kamran, yaar there is no harm in running even a 10,000 kms on Zic A+ , its one heck of a oil, it doesnt even change its colour until 5 - 6k kms on fresh engines, vicosity remains fine until 10,000 kms !

I recall a case where a local Oil Filter ruined a new car's engine, its filter melted inside, this maybe the case, baqi engine needing an over haul at 12,000 kms due to oil, samajh nahi ata, even if he was running it on its First oil !

Oil or filter issue. Bad luck in the end. Any overheating incident?
