    Default Cultus Mileage?

Salaams I have a Cultus 2002. The simple one i.e. not loaded and without CNG. Any idea about the average? My driver says it does 9-10km/l. Isnt this too low for such a small car and that too, just three years old? By the way, it's driven some 83000km.

MOD EDIT: Topic updated. 12 July 2009

Vot about cng? 55kg cylinder installed around two years back, less than that m sure. does between 110 km and 120 km within Islamabad. is this correct? driven 128000 km now.

It just sells itself so it is a good car. Technicalities and Practicalities does not matter
Try pulling out spare tyre on a Factory Fitted CNG Cultus, Even local MEchanic Chotas cannot do that. It is a real Pain when it comes to practicality.

Actual Consumption issue arises because car is grossly underpowered and engine has to do a lot of effort to pull it along so it takes more fuel.

I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM WITH MINE 2000 MODEL. I AM PLANNING TO CHANGE BUT WHAT TO BUY. EVEN THE CNG MILAGE IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH.WHAT TO DO?. ANOTHER OPTION IS TO BUY A SANTRO EXECUTIVE AND HAVE IT FIITED WITH ORIGINAL CNG KIT FROM THE COMPANY, HAVE HEARD THAT THEY ARE INSTALLING THE ORIGINAL BRC KIT AT RS 70,000. BUT MOST FAMILIES DO NOT FEEL THAT COMPFORTABLE AS IT IS WHILE SEATED AT THE BACK SEATS.
WHAT SHD BE THE BEST OPTION?

Buy a genuine EFI car and run it on petrol. It should give you an average of 15-16 k.m. per litre. CNG's problems are more than its benefits.

I think pakchery QQ is THE best choice available. it is 800 cc. its x-khi price is 489,000. build quality is realy good. fully loaded. cheaper than chevy. no OWN/ON/PREMIUM/ watever u call it.
it has got evry thing which chevy has +
    rear power windows
security lock (which also shuts down the windows)
    power mirrors.
    Twin cam engine.
So, all in all QQ is a very good car.
    Thanks.

i think Cherry QQ is the best option. ive seen the car and loved it. it is better than chevy. price is Rs. 489,000.
OWN/ON/PREMIUM wat evr u call it is
    15,000(negotiable).
it has evry thing chevy has +
    rear power windows
security lock (which also shuts down the windows)
agjustable illumination of meter meter lights.
very attractive meter.( better than cultus, chevy, alto, coure & not to mention Mehran)

    power mirrors.
    Twin cam engine.
So, all in all QQ is a very good car. Good value for money.

    chevy's price is 555,000+ 60k OWN

Choice is ur. But dont rule out chery. if u r in lahore i can tell u the location both chevy n QQ dealers. See for ur self.

Reference query of Beamers. My suggestion is 1300 cc Baleno or City. Both these cars give mileage above 15 km/litre.

If you're going to swtich to CNG for the first time, let me inform you that even though you may have problems initally, it is very much the cost. No petrol mileage can substitute CNG at all. The only thing is that Toyota people tell us to remain on Petrol if monthly mileage is less than 3000km but still, there's absolutely no comparision. My corolla which cost me Rs. 11-13000 during summers now cost nothing more Rs. 3000. take it to 6000 if you wish.

as for the santro, there is santro exec coming in factory fitted gas too. the only thing is that while the money is very much worth the difference between the two, the seats of the exec are really uncomfortable. choice is yours.
