    bhaio i have seen Mehran overtaking Cultus and Alto 1000cc on M2....

    well thats a live expereince i faced...

    secondally i do believe that Every car is different ... like if Suzuki produces 100 cultus 7-8 of them are really good and are of older models like 2001-2002 etc

    my friend has a Baleno Sports 2004 that he bought new and then he had a chance to drive a older Baleno of 2001 model...He was preferring the older car on his new one ... better brakes.. smooth and no fighting with gear Shiftings although both baleno,s had a diference of 100,000km on odometer...

    the same scene is with Alto and even Khyber
    Khyber Ga of model 1991-1994 with bigger side mouldings has one heck of a drive and roadgrip...the newer ones of 1997-98 are bull ****...even their bodies are weak and start rattling in a year or so..

    Every baleno and Cultus is different... believe me i have tried many models as a coz of mine is a car dealer and i get a chance to drive many cars....

    thats my experience so i wont say that it doesnt touch 180km or it touch 140 etc etc...maybe every car is different...or some of you have a better assembled one

    @ALL

    Khyber and Cultus uses same engines.... 1000cc 3 cyl..... if I'm not wrong...

    so imagine a car with more drag coefficient (Cultus) and a low rider (Khyber).... which one will be having higher speed.... physically... Khyber!! 'n I've never seen a Khyber going more than 170~175kmh on highway..... so how come Cultus can do 180???

    well iv'e never drove a cultus, yeah mehran at some time. now a days i own SE Saloon and for your information, saloon being 1600cc (petrol) as compared to 1000cc (petrol) cultus; most often id to move over M2 and my experience is that when ever i go near 160 (though very rare, normally not over 140), the car starts to go in throttle. and even a little touch to steering, and you feel immense pressure on your tyres and hense car isn't made to perform well on high speeds (less suspension).
    ok now talk about cultus, if you ever had an experiance to drive both honda 70 & 125cc bikes, you'll find that 70 at high speed becomes quite unstable while 125cc does offer some "controlled" power all bcz of its weight.
    now you may say that most of the fast cars in the world are made of aluminum and emphasis is on the lowest weight, true in a sense that they offer structure that offers downforce.
    so cultus without that force, with low weight (even smaller suspension), i bet its gonna be at the edge of driving even around 145kph.
    so what i meant to say its not that you judge the higest speed of a car, offcource cars like the ones we're talking about are not engineered to perfection, hence they can achive a bit high speed but with highly unstable steering (don't believe, go to high speeds and check your car's steering performance, keep in mind this would be extremly dangerous for cars like cultus and even others as well)
    so what we're talking about is that under controlled conditions, my saloon can go around 150kph while cultus i think the safe limit is around 125/-

    also keep in mind its 1000cc suzuki, not a viper or Buggati

    I dunno I think there is something wrong with the speedometers of cars sold in pak....they r very optimistic.I remember doin 180 km/h in my civic was i think a 97-98 (the pak assembled 1.5 carb ex). Thats approx 110 mph which is crazy for a 90bhp family sedan.....on my current car ive done 135mph which is a 225bhp coupe , admittedly car was still going but still i wonder about speedometers of cars in pak. Probaly the biggest factor is if u r going downhil with the gradient. ......someone needs to use a gps to verify their speed in pak as anything over 100-110 mph is pretty fast for a small family car

    The only people satisfied with cultus are those who have never driven or ownded anything better then that....
    People i know own cultus,Swear at it real bad....
    It can only survive in the government sector like the Potohar daba !
    Life is short and very unpredictable just like a Quarter mile .....

    @hashu
    although i owened the cultus for 4 years ,,,i agree with ur openion,that cultus is good so long as u have not driven any other car,,,,,but one thing we all have to admit that it has huge leg space and gives beautiful looks.

    well i have never touched a cultus so i can not say about its speed but one thing i know i have 2005 toyota corolla 1.3 xli in dubai and the max speed i have driven it is 170km/hr(my usaul speed is 150 km/hr) above it is diffcult to have a cpmlete controll on ur car.So if it the case in Dubai where we r having japan assembled cars .about pakistan even i doubt it above 130km/hr for cultus which is 1ooocc.

    LIsten, those of u who dont believe that cultus cannot attain 180km/h, are real suckers.NOW: I am going to do that again, and will take a snapshot, and will post it here to shut ur friggin' mouths. Wait for 2-3 days and u'll see what speed cultus can touch.

    @hunchback5: cool down man, we don't need any pic showing 180km/h on speedo, if u believe cultus can do it, don't worry about others and don't risk ur life. it's precious than taking this thing as a challenge.
    my personal opinion about any 1000cc car doing this much, i reserve my comments
