The reverse clutch piston which in your case is made of plastic is stuck - (usually happens in Cuore) - overheats, warps and gets lodged.

The guy (pappu) you are talking about knows how to rebuild automatics; but his repairs are only as good as the parts he can find. As there are no new parts found for automatics in Pakistan your result will be highly dependant on the used parts you or he can find.

I rebuild autos too, and for best results I get full rebuild kits first then open up the transmission.

p.s. when you meet pappu - tell him that Zulfiqar (VW Golf) said hi

yep I repair automatics - infact me and pappu used to brainstorm together on some complex problems.. anyways - the mira transmission will fit but wont shift properly as the final drive ratio is different and usually Mira come with EFI engines - which also control the transmission shift points - hence it doesnt have a speed governor and sometimes no pressure control cable either - your car has a hydraulic speed governor to shift gears. Mira transmission parts dont fit either - they are smaller inside.

Your problem is not that bad as Ive seen some seriously bad Cuore Transmissions - they were working without reverse and no O/D and when opened - all the plates were polished clean - (the dirty fluid was its friction material to pull the car) - The reverse no working is very usual in Cuore - Toyota/Aisin used a plastic pressure piston for the reverse pack - (how genius) and it gets stuck when overheated

There are a few shops that build automatics now - but I cant say anything about them as they never built it infront of me nor did I see the car afterwards
