its possible, easy but not so quick, you also need a VSS to make it work effectively, it should go hard when travelling above 55kmh - (motor works against you). A check light made from an LED and a few wires, including, rpm, ignition power, ground

I don't think that Coure need HPS or EPS.. Its Steering is very smooth so no need of it!!

I also think that installing eps in cuore is a wate of money as it has already got a very soft steering

The VSS input into the steering control unit will make it know that the car is travelling at certain speed - and would adjust the steering to hard turning to ensure the car does not get out of control. (at speeds above 100 km/h the motor would apply a brake to your effort so you dont spin the car out of line) - older cars with hydraulic assist systems had this function coming from the transmission pressure control valve to (slow down/stiffen) power assist - Anyone who has had a 1986-1990 Accord or even a 1993 to 1996 integra would know - and you can literally see hydraulic lines going into the transmission for this purpose

As soon as a malfunction is detected the steering control unit stops power assist and turns on the check light.

even monkeying around with the EPS at idle is a malfunction as the motor heats up along with the control unit..
