    No link between gears and fuel.

    @Xulfiqar..the car is manual.
    Also there is a churning sound coming from the gearbox even when the car is in neutral gear.
    when the clutch is pressed to change the gear the sound goes away..!!

    your transmission countershaft has too much sideplay or is in need of a lube change. Change the oil first then check - and please only put in 75W90 GL4 gear oil - ZIC have it, do not use the Caltex GL-5 as it will corrode away the brass synchros in it.

    Any chance of worn out Thrust Bearing / clutch release bearing? Coz the symptom u mentioned about the sound vanished with the clutch pressed is directly related to Thrust Bearing. It happened to my car too.

    But my comment still need to be get clearified by Xulfiqar bhai.

    the clutch thrust bearing is only engaged with the pedal pushed to the floor not the other way round.

    but - in any case the manual gearbox noise and snatchiness as questioned by the OP has nothing to do with the fuel being used.

    If the problem happens to be excessive sideplay in countershaft then what would be the solution? Can you explain please

    open up gearbox and adjust side play with shims - fiddly business that can be done by someone who has a dial gauge to measure the play.
