@jenius: congrats!!! Well I keep a steering crook lock but seldom use it in Islamabad. Also you need a silver thing to put in the wind shield when you park in the sun to save the dashboard.

@aly: I have not driven an Alto but one thing I can tell you, a zero meter with 3S support and warranty would definitely prove a better choice than a 2-3 year used car in circumstances where people know they are going to sell the car for peanuts anyways, so you can guess how much they would care for the car. But if you know what you are buying then lets go through the differences:

    - Engine: 200cc is not a lot and the technologies are different but still I am not sure if the 660cc can be driven intercity, maybe you being in Karachi would not worry about this.

    - Fuel: Do not try CNG in any of the two in my opinion, Cuore ECO has an amazing CNG system but that is not available as after market for you to install in the A/T.

    - Air bags: how many imported cars have them adjusted properly, and how many guys get them properly setup once they go off here?

    - ABS: if you drive a sub 1000cc car in such a way that you need this, I would advise you to change your driving style.

    - Interior: well I got everything in my cuore which I wanted like RPM meter, cup holder (center console), arm rest with storage box

That's just my opinion, which stays after driving my cuore since July 2006. You can have your opinion but you can't change mine :p

@adeelg84: there is a white book in the dash board, and a quick checklist is written on the wall of every Toyota motor's outlet I have seen. Today I am going for an oil, oil filter, air filter change, I will try to remember to take a picture of that wall and post it here.

However, the air filter was fine till 8000 km, I am at 11000 km now but changing it because its about 15 months old now.

@mickypaki: my A/T 2006 Cuore is giving me about 11 km/L with 50% of the time on A/C (Islamabad city). It used to give me 9.5 km/L with 80% A/C in Karachi city driving. But it shines on the Motorway with more than 15 km/L with A/C.

You should check when you changed plugs, air filter, etc. last time, if it is tuned for CNG, then you will get bad mileage on petrol compared to cars tuned for petrol.

Jeanius, I suggest you get the tyres changed-the sooner the better, as the replacement cost is lower for new/slightly used tyres. We have dunlops in my mom's coure, and they have changed the tyre noise, braking and overall comfort tremendously. One piece of advice though-do not change the tyre size than the one specified by the factory, as it would adversely affect the fuel consumption and would have no tangible benefits.
