Slam to all i am new here!...

just wanted to share my thoughts about cuore i ve been owing cuore since 5 years!

its 2008 model...untill 2012 its been best economy class car ...but after that its been gone for engine and parts ovehauling for atleast 2 times and 1 time for partial over hauling....i have just did its 3rd engine and clutch plates axels etc over haul and this time cost of spare parts for cuore sky rocketed.. i have spent atleast 52k on it yesterday and it is now good for next eight to 12 months .... before that it was giving me 6 to 7 km per ltr from last 3 months with black smoke......

my experience for this over haul is pretty bad for cuore.... even spare parts shop keeper do not suggest for cuore any more.....on the bonus side workshop keepers try to slaughter customers by putting used parts and keeping new ones in their trunk unless u sit there and watch their asses for regular 2 to 3 days...which makes to nuts at the end of the day... they charge huge amounts for repairs unless person is sitting next to them....

so personally i wont suggest u buy cuore now....unless u want to go through all these energy and money consuming activities....cuore is almost over... u should look for suzuki wagon R...or something

This June, its been 10 years to my Cuore. Purchased it new in 2006.

Masha Allah Driven 102,200km, its been a fantastic car for us. Everything is working perfectly (considering normal wear and tear during these 10 years)

And yes, parts availability is now an issue, but alham dullliah never been in any big issue, so I didn?t face any problem for parts arrangements yet.

    I really love my Cuore

My Cuore has completed 205,000 Km of which my usage is only 80,000 rest is my uncle's from whom I bought this car. 2009 Cuore still going strong in all aspects except it was reducing oil on aggressive driving pattern lately.
Using Liqui Moly Super Leichtlauf 10w40 oil and oil consumption has literally stopped for now. This is one of the smallest cars having a character and a drive. I love Cuore too.

    Oil filter should be the best one always, actually no compromise on following;
    No.1 OIL
Its type; Semi synth / Synthetic (if Minerals only premium grade otherwise not), It's Stability (shearing stability) and Cleanliness properties (Sludge removal). Viscosity matters after all this. 20w50 is ok if certain OEM has specifically mentioned it otherwise too thick of an oil. 10w40 gives a little better free pace to engine while 5w30 oils are for economy and better startup and go in cold mornings.

    No.2 Oil Filter
It should be genuine and as good an option available for your vehicle as possible. For Cuore I suggest, Denso Made in Thailand (Toyota genuine Part) is the best oil filter available here. Available for Rs.450 a piece from Lahore Filter house shop.

    No.3 Air filter
Air filter should be of near OEM quality if not OEM. I suggest to get at least a Le-Ppon air filter (dark grey color) Rs. 400 from Lahore filter shop it is available. But the real thing is; with wash at every weekend or every alternate weekend, I get my filter out and cleaned thoroughly by air pressure. So it is always clean, never dirty. I change filter after 1.5 to 2 months max as Le-PPon type filters are not good enough to work past 10,000 km or 2 months.

I used Shell Oils HX7 5w30 (semi-synth) in winters and Helix Ultra 5w40 (full synth) in summers. I believe in backwards compatibility of better brand of oils especially those which clearly mention A3/B3/B4 certifications and VW, MB, Porsche type of strict approvals. These oils have quality substitutes of Zinc/Phosphorous used in optimal lubrication of older engines.

However, I was having slight (very subtle) oil reduction issue when driving aggressively or noticeable at rate of 500ml per 4000Km.

What I like in Liqui Moly brand of exotic oils is that they have specialized formulations to nearly each and every type and condition of engine. LM even has different specialized oils for the group of Hondas, Toyotas, Mazdas etc. So here the oil I chose was (Super Leichtlauf 10w40 Semi synthetic. Rs.3000/- from Filter house Lahore) having High additives of Seal Conditioners (seal conditioners are present in Better/premium names of Full & Semi Synthetic oils) but this oil has specialized application on Older engines with higher mileage like mine (200k + Kms).
It has helped me so far that my oil reducing trait has slowed down to an extent it seems almost non-existent. My oil is at Full mark at dip stick after 1000km.

Very well explained Sir.i changed engine oil 2 months ago to caltex 20w50,i searched threads here I found Xulfiqar sb in one post suggested to get 10w40 in Cuore but mostly members have advised 20w50 thicker oil for old engines.today I read my odometer reading it is about 166000 I am surprised if it is true as model is 2000 may be it was altered before.Should I also get LM 10w40 in my car on oil change?i think it is available in big cities only.under my car air filter there is a piece of sponge placed,i asked mechanic he said it is for absorbing oil from air so that filter don't get dirty early, is it right approach?

What should be level of water in radiator?i was told it should be upto level where upper hose is attached to upper tank of radiator or upper tank should be filled completely upto the orifice near radiator opening.today I was reading that level should be that much where inside plates of radiator are covered with water.when we say water is reduced so what does it mean, how we measure it or judge it?by quantity?by looking at level of water in radiator?or something else

if u fill radiator till top, some coolant will go to side bottle. so remove cap of side bottle, close its mouth with palm and fill till top. look at front of bottle, u will see 2 marks, one is for full, one for low. after service of radiator, u should check level in radiator and bottle every few hours of drive, then every few days. then u just check in bottle and see how much it is reduced from last level. Are you asking this second time?

Please tell what should be level of water in radiator, should it be full upto neck of radiator,a guy told me that level should be full in Upper tank upto the upper level of upper hose of radiator.
Water level in bottle doesn't reduce,it is on same level since I changed radiator but in radiator water level gets low I think.you can see water level in pic,i didn't put water for 1 week just to check if water is reduced.Cuore Fan Club - 315cd3c8f63733eefb40c43d89aa774a

Wasf bro your radiator is working fine .. keep checking every day. If coolant/water level is not dropping in your Reservoir bottle it means everything is fine (Provided that your Thermostat valve is working and the Bottom pipe of reservoir bottle is not clogged and feeding the radiator effortlessly). And yes your radiator water level seems fine.

I am at service station right now for pressure wash under car & service.mechanic said me it is good that water didn't enter inside engine, it can damage engine so I will be v careful next time & Sir no need to try such commando action until v necessary as engine is costly plus a lot of wiring inside.
I will take mechanic view too regarding water level in radiator.Your view about water level in radiator gives my confidence but I am still worried.lets see what mechanic see I will post then.

@midreestaj Sir Commando action did cost me money & lot of panic & time.At mechanic car wasn't starting, not taking sulf, they checked & told problem may be with generator so they took out generator & found it was burnt so I changed it for 2400.Then I went for car service, again car wasn't starting but taking sulf so service shop guy opened some plug cables, cleaned them, opened ignition cable there was lot of dust, cleaned it & car started again,he told me to change these cables.i will check in.morning tomorrow with hope car will start Inshallah without any problem.
About radiator water level mechanic told it is OK as long water level in reservoir bottle is upto mark.He said that plates inside shouldn't be visible bare without water.
Another loss while mechanic was checking generator he took my phone for flash light & it dropped from his hands, touch panel broke down non functional & I changed it too cost 1500.Allah Kher

whenever you open your radiator cap level should be upto neck like shown in photo. there should be no air in radiator; this is what reservoir bottle is for.
I have done this once too; it was a part of road became like a small pond because of rain in islamabad. water level reached almost till upper part of tyres. nothing went wrong.
