Good to know brother that you installed Tstat valve that is a welcome change and you are switching to coolant. As for the valve difference it is about 6 degree C you will be running your engine hotter by almost 6 degrees. IMO, this is still in range so you wont be cooking your head gasket. But all of this based on ED20 valve thing that you have commented. I think only by looking at shape similarity you cant bet its ed20 part instead of ed10. You need to look for any marking related to temperature rating on the valve body itself and if not just be cool about it.

As per table on user manual page ED-10 General specifications has 82 ( carb) , ED-20 is European specifications ( EFI) has 88. Both are 850 cc.
I think I should observe Tstat & housing closely if something written on it or remove it & check in boiling water temperature

Like someone already mentioned diff of 8c wont kill ur engine.not having one or a stuck tvalve is not good.nothing to worry about. When feasible or whn free u can go hunt for tvalve in junkyard from similar carby engine.relax n drive n enjoy car heater in winters for now

Today removed Tstat to confirm & it has NTC 82 C written on it so fitted back.i am happy. But while doing this work distributor settings changed a bit.
There were some noises from dashboard side earlier which I told to mechanic he suspected AC compressor noise, so he opened its attachment nut but later he went away & another guy fitted it back but it was fitted then at maximum tension of belt, mechanic said you need to put one number small belt then this one. After setting it at such position noises increased, I showed to another mechanic he said bearing has gon bad ,should be replaced so I removed belt for tim being ,will get bearing repaired later.
Our Mechanics complete one task but do some other thing bad.

bearings are replacement parts, there is nothing repairable in a bearing.
