    Default Mira RPM issues

    i have mira 2010 cvt. can anyone please let me know what is the normal rpm speed of mira? when i start the car the rpm arrow goes in mid of 1 n 2 and when i drive till speed of 70 its on 2.5. is it normal ?

    it should be less than 1(1000) some where around 750 to 800 on idling

    I have a 2010 Mira Custom. It should be just under 1000rpm

    under 1000rpm u mean while driving? or during start? mine is more then 1000rpm even in starting the car and when i start driving under 70 speed it goes at 2500rpm. so how can i get rid of it? from where? any suggestions plz.

    I have same car as yours, cvt 2010 mira

    i have the same issue its the problem with thr throttle body.

    as these cars are on port for a long time so this might be the reason that the butterfly hinges are rusted so thats why its not operating properly, my car is only driven 1000km in pakistan when i face this problem, so i take the car to TOYOTA MOTORS ISLAMABAD and problem solved.

    you can also go to CHAA SULTAN get new butterfly and replace it. TOYOTA COST ME cost 35000/-

    Thank you Bro, for ur detailed replies, actually i wanna sell out the car and wanna get a bigger one, so is there other way except replacing the parts? i mean if it just gets better by cleaning the throttle body? or doing some other techniques? and from where can i get this? should i also go to Toyota Motors at Karachi?
    and yes another question bro, with this problem was ur car use to get heat up so much? mine does a lot like the bonnet inside thing gets warm like an iron, but it doesn't show heat sign at dashboard, so is it common with these 660 cars? or this isn't normal thing?

    Bro first you can easily sell the car in this condition, just go to some radiator shop and get a fully new coolant,

    Yes bro mine is so hot that i cant open the hood.

    thank u so much dear, i really can't thank u and all the helping guys on this forum. helping people is a good trait, thank u so very much. and bro u r right i shouldn't do any adventure with the car and just leave it in its original condition. and i use the coolant but from some time i started mixing water with the coolant, do i use it without water?

    A throttle position sensor (TPS) is a sensor used to monitor the position of the throttle and it can be fixed by Toyota/Daihatsu ppl as it involves measuring voltages ... its a configuration/electronic thingy so i dont think they will charge u more than 500-1k ...

    yes tell them to calibrate the TPS, i just got calibrated of my Civic 98 and Honda Pith Stop Cavalry charged Rs. 500/-

    Welcome bro, second I faced same problem and a frd of mine helped me . Yesterday I went to Murree via G.T Road then to Nathyia Gali and from there to Abbottabad on my MIRA 2010 half way A/c and i not even feel any heating issue.
    I was with my four friends 3 on back seat and one on front passenger seat and me driving.
    Average speed 65 km/hr
    Fuel Average 15.8 km/l

    Regarding coolant according to me a coolant is only effective if its pure.
