    Default Mira ES Fan Club

Hello and welcome guys to the official Mira Es Fan page.
So decided to make this page as i couldn't find another.
So , most of people in Pakistan are tired of high fuel prices and to overcome this issue , people leaned towards 660cc cars but they were shocked at their low average figures and people developed a bad image about their economy in their mind but now Daihatsu has launched a truly fuel saving "Eco" car named mira es with its new technology called "Eco-Idle".
    So,whats basically eco idle ?
Its a fuel saving technology introduced by Daihatsu in which the car switches of when at stop or lower than 11 km/h.
It also has extra storage batteries for to store electric from regenerative braking.
So whats the difference between Mira eS and other cars?
Mira eS is the most fuel efficient car around the globe which offers the best milage of 30-33.6Km according to Japanese tests.
    This car has Regenerative braking.
Eco idol or start stop system.
Extra Batteries for storage of Regenerative Braking.
All of cars electronics runs on its extra
    .
Different variants of this car are introduced including
X Memorial Edition (It includes alloys and rear seat headrests extra than X and chrome handles too )
G package (Top of the line , It has VSC,TRC and climate control A/C and also Push start which is optional and chrome handles and it also features 4 Airbags)
L package (Basic , without keyless entry , Retractable mirror , just beige interior)
    D package (Most Basic)
    And some other packages.
    Excellent suspension and superb Drive.
It also has a CVT transmission and Digital Meter
    Dashboard gears and much more.
This car may not be the best in 660cc range but surely is the most fuel efficient car!
This car was launched in 2011 and also know as
    Toyota Pixis Epoch
    Subaru Pleo +

Aoa, you are suggesting spark plug for 4 wheel drive model..The correct one for 2wheel drive is LKR7C..

    AOA,
The only difference between LKR7C & LKR6C is that 6C is hotter than 7C.

I dont know why your mechanic suggested changing the plugs, if the plugs were dark/ black then putting LKR6C will be beneficial to your car.

    1. Mechanic (after observing plug condition) suggest to change (3) plugs which are NGK LKR7C, not available (not even in Montgomery road LHR and KHI).
Available are NGK LKR6C and in irridium (NGK ILKR7B11 & DENSO SC20HR11). What must i use?
    2. In start of drive little jerk on gear (shifting) but heavy jerk with full Ac blow. I have changed (Toyota CVT) gear oil, it improved but did not fully resolve.

I have a few issues with my daihatsu mira es.
    1. When driving on low speed like 30 the car vibrates. Pushing the pedal/accelerating eliminates the vibration.
    2. The car sometimes jerks when the gear changes as i go from 0 to like 30km/hr. I know it's a cvt but it feels like a gear change.
    3. When i go over potholes or cateye reflectors i hear some thak thak noise from front suspension. What could be the problem?

There is no problem in the suspension, it just makes some weird noises on bumpy and scattered roads. About the jerk you feel is all because of spark plugs change them as the original ones are more likely to burnt. Get your car serviced and throttle body cleaned

I just checked the spark plugs and they are filled with carbon. And I've heard that you shouldn't mess with the throttle body of jdm's as some have experienced decreased fuel economy after. Thanks for the reply!

Ill recommend you to get your plugs changed. And about the throttle nody i have got it cleaned before like 3 months ago from a well known service station they are experts when it comes to JDMS. Its stillnyour choice whether you get your throttle body cleaned or not. But do get your plugs changed.

My car's vibration especially when the ac is on and on speed between 0 to 20 has ended. The car seems smooth, better pick better shift and better fuel economy also.

I have different view about maintaining my cars.

I am a DIY guy, and do routine maintenance @ 5000kms by changing oil + oil & air filter. Plugs @ 20k.

Bought my 1st JDM in 2006, Vitz 2003 F model from Karachi with only 23k on odo. Never took it to mechanic or dealership.

Car gave me troublefree service over the last 10 years. Sold it last months at 145,000 kms.

In my opinion JDM's are sensitive and should not be touched by Mistri Sb.

100% Agree. Without any specific required Pakistani mechanics ke hath laty hi JDMs naraz ho jati hin.

Sir. My tire measurements were 155/65 R14 75S i did a detailed research that S represents the speed ratings not the snow or mud category of tires, i didnt even see the line which snow tires have on the treads. So i am sure mine are radial ones as its mentioned in my tires the makers are yokohama blu eart radial something. What pressure should i keep for smooth ride keeping in mind the condt of Karachi roads and this 40 degree heat.

M is not for mountain but it stands for Mud.
Therefore M+S is Mud + Snow

Keeping in view of roads condition and heat of pakistan, I suggest 28psi maximum. More pressure will give you better mileage but bumpy ride.
I personally tried 26 to 36 psi and found 28 best on desi roads of pakistan.
