    Default Mira ES Fan Club

Hello and welcome guys to the official Mira Es Fan page.
So decided to make this page as i couldn't find another.
So , most of people in Pakistan are tired of high fuel prices and to overcome this issue , people leaned towards 660cc cars but they were shocked at their low average figures and people developed a bad image about their economy in their mind but now Daihatsu has launched a truly fuel saving "Eco" car named mira es with its new technology called "Eco-Idle".
    So,whats basically eco idle ?
Its a fuel saving technology introduced by Daihatsu in which the car switches of when at stop or lower than 11 km/h.
It also has extra storage batteries for to store electric from regenerative braking.
So whats the difference between Mira eS and other cars?
Mira eS is the most fuel efficient car around the globe which offers the best milage of 30-33.6Km according to Japanese tests.
    This car has Regenerative braking.
Eco idol or start stop system.
Extra Batteries for storage of Regenerative Braking.
All of cars electronics runs on its extra
    .
Different variants of this car are introduced including
X Memorial Edition (It includes alloys and rear seat headrests extra than X and chrome handles too )
G package (Top of the line , It has VSC,TRC and climate control A/C and also Push start which is optional and chrome handles and it also features 4 Airbags)
L package (Basic , without keyless entry , Retractable mirror , just beige interior)
    D package (Most Basic)
    And some other packages.
    Excellent suspension and superb Drive.
It also has a CVT transmission and Digital Meter
    Dashboard gears and much more.
This car may not be the best in 660cc range but surely is the most fuel efficient car!
This car was launched in 2011 and also know as
    Toyota Pixis Epoch
    Subaru Pleo +

@huzaifa.haroon, 17 in city? and 13 in rushy traffic? :O I thought Mira ES was supposed to give more than 20 with AC (25 is what people selling this car claim). The fuel average is the ONLY reason I was thinking about going for this car. Otherwise, I don't like the size, interior, engine capacity etc. Btw, does it have a fuel average meter?

I've been reading that people are getting 16-17 with Passo Eco mode as well so if the fuel averages are same then I would opt for Passo.
Yr in karachi 20 is non achievable , but in Islamabad and lahore its 20 + checked and verified

I live in Islamabad. I travel on very small routes. Longest one way I go is not more than 10 KMs. Can I expect 20+ with AC?

Does it have a fuel average meter or the fuel averages are manually calculated?

I test drove a Mira ES. I am not sure if the Eco Idle was working or not. My understanding is that engine is stopped when the car is stopped. The button was working as turning on eco idle would display "ECO IDLE" above the speedometer so I guess Eco Idle function was working too. But the engine did not stop while the car was stopped. I could still hear the engine running. Does that mean Eco idle function wasn't working (and was falsely showing that its on) or do I have a wrong understanding of this function?

Eco idol light turns green when it is working , orange when its not ready , driver seat belt is must for it to turn green , mostly in accidental cars it doesnot work. But eco idol just saves 1 ml in 10 secs so basically it does nothing except for saving emissions , eco idol re activates after your car reaches speed of 10 km/l but in rushy traffic its not possible so car remains start!

    Hi,

I have recently bought this car. But I am getting a very low mileage, around 7-8 km/L. My drive is very small, usually 1-2 Km/drive and max 4-5 km/drive. Is this due to small drive or there might be some other problem. Also my Eco idle functions quite rarely. Let me know if I need to visit a mechanic.

Yes, front left fender and bonot from corner left, Airbags are intact though. No, I try to drive on green light, but i have told you that drive is short and also quite bumpy so have to accelerate and decelerate a lot.

Also plz tell me if I drive with TRC off will it have any effect on consumption.

Trc does not have any kind of effect on average but on short routes too , it should do 12-13 km/l , no need to go to mechanic check air filter , use ac on higher number!

Oh that's too low. I guess I should not go for Mira then as fuel consumption was the only reason.

Do you have any idea about what kind of consumption I'll get from Passo (the one with Eco mode) if I try to drive it with the Eco light on?

Passo/Boon does not give 16-17. My Boon with the lightest foot and the best fuel only gives 10-11. Max it can go to 12.5 or so. The Mira ES will definitely give better mileage!

This technology eco idle save fuel in traffic jams like where you have to stopped for traffic to clear or at signal, right? Please let me know how eco idle works if you drive the car in traffic jam but you are going 10-15 km/hr or you stop the car for second or 2 then slowly accelerate again, How the lag in engine restarting hinder the sudden need to accelerate in this condition ?

Engine restarts in milliseconds but its just meant for signals not traffic jams , bcuz one car restarts and you stop again without accelerating till 11 km/h car wont stop
