Default How to "flush engine" to enhance engine performance ?

Folks, have a Coure-2008 with 125000+ mileage. Everything is genuine except "Timing Belt".
Want to know how to extend its engine life..

Please make me understand the procedure of "Engine Flushing" as I've heard "engine ka sara kachra nikal jata hai by just playing with engine and acceleration"

just waste of time and money unless your engine is badly sludged up.just keep using good engine oil.
one tip=use api sj rated diesel engine oil.it will work for you as an engine flush

when oil change is due..pour in full bottle of STP engine flush into the engine through the cap..start the engine..let it idle at mid rpms for about 10 to 15 mins...stop the engine.drain the oil..and pour in new oil..Simple!!!
it doesnt increase any performance..just makes the engine smooth..although many recommend it with every oil change i dont think it should be used quite often especially in high mileage engines..
using fully synthetic oil is a better option imo.

best oil for cuore is diesel engine oil. this small engine has very simple requirements. use caltex delo 400 15W-40. with lot of anti friction agents and detergents, this oil is what u need.

Use Liquimoly engine flush .its the best...pour in old oil and let it run for 5 to 10 mins...
Then use liqui moly ceratec in it with new oil..it form a ceramic layer on engine parts and thus reducing friction and enhance the smoothness of engine.
you will be impressed with worldclass liquimoly products.

And Kixx is good oil use 10w40 grade..btw liqui moly engine oils are best with long oil drain intervals..

You don't want to wash out old sludge sitting into oil galleries and valves seals etc if you do so by putting heavy duty diesel oil which has cleans 200% times better then petrol oil then be prepared for hole in pocket because i would never pour synthetics or diesel oils in petrol cars with 125k km. Hence sensible is to use API SN or SM grade with 10W40 or if engine is bit weak which it gets after 100k km then 20W50 Castrol or Caltex

    Simply use 10w40 in winter
and 15w40 in summers...no need for 20w50 if your engine is in good condition as 20w50 is very thick oil and put more burden on running parts on engine...

egg-zactly ...I also heard that full synthetic oil is for new engines and old engines should use semi-synthetic or mineral oils.

As others have said there is no need to use engine flush if you already use good oils.

Synthetics and diesel engine oils are also great in cleaning sludge and deposits. You can use them in place of engine flush OR if you are using them then there is no need to flush.

DO NOT use flush/synthetic/diesel oils if your engine condition is not very good or you have been poor or old api rating engine oils.

Let me give you my example. I have a 1998 car and we have been using good (mineral) oils in it from the beginning. A few years back we shifted to synthetics/semi synthetic and there still is no problem. We also bought two different car 05&06 used models(around 60k km on the odo) at different times and shifted them to synthetics. After 1-2 oil changes they started consuming oil like crazy. There were two things that came in mind, either the cars were originally consuming oil but seller had put some additives in it to stop consumption or that the oil consumption began when the sludge was cleaned. I think it is the latter, given that most people still use obsolete API SG oils in their relatively newer cars, EVEN in cars like city, civic, corolla.
