    Default Mira EiS RPM Calibration?

    i have mira eis

it was working perfectly with milage of 30.7 km/ltr
but few days ago i felt that tunning needed so went to workshop three days before
changed plugs and clean throttle body with cleaner spray
    now rpm is very high
no one was able to reset or calibrate the rpm
went to very known 4 machanics with scanner, they used three types of scanners but failed to calibrate rpm

    now milage is 13.5km

is there anyone having same experience ???

Why does everyone have to touch a car that is working perfectly? And the other thing is, why do you take your car to a mechanic when they have absolutely NO IDEA how to work on this model, which means they have no service manual? I am sure it is either two things.

When he worked on your throttle body, he either 1.) Did NOT replace the throttle body gasket that goes behind it OR he did not bother to put it back in, if he removed the throttle body, and now there is a vacuum leak that is causing the ECU to compensate the air/fuel mixture by raising the RPM's. If he did NOT remove the throttle body, then he used a cleaner spray, such as carburetor cleaner, that might have affected/damaged oxygen sensors, catalytic converters and other sensitive sensors.

2.) When he was removing the throttle body, he has disconnected some vacuum hoses or other emission related hoses and forgot to put them back on. You should check to see if anything has been removed or missing and check again.

Also, why did you have your spark plugs changed? The original spark plugs will last for 130,000 kms before the first replacement is needed. They were NGK Iridium Tipped and in Japan, one spark plug is around Rs. 4,000.

See if the things I mentioned help you out and then let us know if you have sorted it out.

    ^^^

How easy it is for those stupids to ask for throttle body replacement...!!!

First try to get the original plugs back and reinstall them to see if problem gets fixed.

If all sensor connectors are intact, and putting the original plugs back doesn't resolve, then the problem is most likely with IACV.

And also make sure the car is getting to operating temperature normally or not?

Actually, first of all, your car does not have a IACV (Idle air control valve). The ECU adjusts idle speed depending on engine load.

You should definitely have your ORIGINAL spark plugs fitted back if possible. Is your car still running at High rpms at idle?

If it is still running High RPMs at idle, it may be just the gasket that has been damaged. Did you check the emissions hoses or any other vacuum hose that may have been disconnect?

If you are interested in a fix, please private message me. I can give you another solution, if you are in Lahore.

    thx for answers
    yes i m in lahore
yes i got those plugs back again from that machanic

rpm is a very long story
    let me cut it short
i went to a very genius and honest man's workshop (advised by my friend) his name is fahad
    in johar town
he did a totka with my car, he has solved this problem b4 many times

and that totka fixed rpm absolutely
but my average is still not satisfactory as once it was
new plugs were installed by previous mechanic were came out very rusty
    i dont know why
then i asked fahad to install my previous plugs he cleaned those plugs very breifly,
after that i took a drive, average quickly jumps to 27km/L
and after one hour average is again back at 14km/L
    this is really confusing me
i m gonna sell this car

That is great your got the RPM fixed. Can I ask, what exactly did he "fix" or do to fix the high RPM issue at idle?

If you let me know what EXACTLY he did to fix it, then I might know why your average is so poor for the moment. It is a simple fix.

Just tell me exactly what he did to fix the problem, and I can advise on what you can do.

Well Carb cleaner tends to swell the rubber and when he sprayed two things can happen. Either the spray caused some gasket to de form OR as i have seen many times after throttle cleaning the throttle plate develops gap which is due to wear. Cleaning allows gunk to go away leaving vac leak.

Never spray these stupid carb cleaners in throttles in EFI cars. These make the situation worst instead of doing any good and performance improvements. Besides never get such stupid tunings done in modern cars. These don't need such tunings.

    @AwaisGhouri
First of all, the car you own is Mira ES.. Not E I S..

I also have a Mira es.. The RPM comes back after driving for a while. like 4 - 5 days.. The ECU just adopts your driving style and learns.. I have gone through this.. Few Mira ES owners called me and asked about the same issue, my reply was only to drive the car for 4 - 5 days and it the idle RPM would settle down itself.. And yes it worked for them too.
