Thread: Cuore 2000 suspension, engine work

    Default Cuore 2000 suspension, engine work

    I recently bought a used 2000 model cuore.it was checked by my friend & car electrician who told us about this car.i don't know about car history of repairs but body is good in shape.my friend checked body for rust& said OK while electrician recommended to buy saying if you spend 20-25K on car it will be fit.i bought car in 3lac 20 thousands.i took car to Toyota workshop for checkup.They told suspension needs work,front wheel bearing,left lower arm bush,tie rod work,steering boot,caliper kit,rear wheel bearing etc.Tomorrow they will tell me cost of new parts.Labour charges will be 4000 & steering reula repair will be 2000.‎
    Now about engine they told it is weak,needs overhaul,timing seal & some other seals are leaking,water is mixing with oil,crank sound on high acceleration.For engine work Toyota mechanic says if I purchase Toyota parts it will cost around 1 lac & if I fix deal with mechanic it will cost around 65K he will use kabli parts.
    Tyres also need to be replaced.‎
    I am learning driving these days.Please suggest how should I proceed.Keep learning to drive without any work on car ?Do suspension,wheels work first & engine in the end?any other suggestion.[IMG]Name:  uploadfromtaptalk1453910321766.jpg

    nop, side mirrors are original...

    i searched in peshawar for used rims, but cuore pcd is changed then alto/cultus/mehran, so couldnt find a good one, found this one is pindi, hmm as i searched in both cities, i found peshawer a bit costly in rim/tyres for cuore...

    now adays no one buying cng kit, as i live in kpk, and there is like no shortage of cng, but from years im using cars on petrol, just for satisfaction, cng kit and the car is now adays in wah cantt,

    the mechanic offered me 12k for this...




    just sayin

    some years back, my uncle swaped cuore engine , amount was 30k, (didnt have any info about it), and sold cng kit on spot for 30k

    experts say, overhauling caure engine is the best option, but for that you have to find a specialist, BUT if you met season kasai, then you will end up with a swap

    you were asking about mileage, in start it was giving me 8-10kms, but after some tuning and setting NOW giving me 15km/l with ac, average long+local

    My car giving 10km/l in & around city without AC,i travel about 15km/day mostly.your milege now with AC is good but my car electrician who just got EFI on genuine engine claims to get 21-22km/l on long journeys.

    new mira/ek wagon engines giving 21/22km/l on long routes with approx 90km/h speed...

    in short, im speechless after this claim by your electrition...

    I am surprised too.my brother told me to ask electrician we will check milege with petrol in bottle.
    Please give your suggestions how to fix jerks problem for time being. A senior member told more chances are it is electrical problem,current not flowing properly,he said if carburator problem then car should have jerks on fast speed too opposite to my case where I feel them in low gears 1st,2nd & around 40-50 speed in 3rd gear & also when changing gear from 1 to 2 & 2 to 3rd

    Many rubber pipes are there...vooling system has many rubber pipes from small to big ones...braking system have them too aswell here and there

    But your car is like new one now,you made a good decision.i with a mind of not changing genuine engine have spent much on car but still major works are pending,gear seals leaking,timing seals leaking,tyres have to be changed etc etc

    Owais I got it.please tell history of your car.how long you have it. What issues were there that make you change engine.was it reducing oil or water or mixing oil with water or air in system or frequent visits to workshops etc?how much did you spend on car before engine swap?
    how is pick, ride of car before & after swap?

    basiclly cuore belongs to my dear friend almost bro to me in taxila..almost all the work here in peshawr done by me and him, and i also know about the work done there in taxila also...

    we have this cuore from almost 3 years, first 2 years it was performing good but then issues started, and non experienced mechanic ruined whole engine, swap for cuore is an option where not every one will agree, for cuore best option is to overhaul with quality parts and quality mechanic, if one of them is not good, the engine is DONE, i bored it 8 months before, in start it was good, but in some time it went bad to worse, even i was in not favour of swap, but we have been left with no other option..was decreasing oil and smoke, after that overhaul i have done ring piece twice, but the engine was dead...engine change decision havent come from any of mechanic , it was our own decision, decision make in home, with a cousin, brother and friend,

    HONESTLY cuore swap is nota good option, but when you are left with very few options then you have to go for it..

    why cuore swap is a difficult option??

    cuore parts are expensive and difficult to find, why? because all shopkeepers didnt order daihatsu parts, some of them did, thats why they are expensive, and very difficult to find a good piece with un cut wiring..860cc efi kabuli engine is the only option...

    why not 1000cc??

    1000cc will be one of like your cuore engine or like mine, you will like to take one?? no one will like it, you never know how much life is left..

    if you want to ask from a mechanic in gujrat??, there is eid gaah in gujrat, infront of it there is 4x4 workshop, visit them, they are expensive to deal with if not,

    there is telephone exchange, infront of them there is a workshop, ask for nadeem...

    i didnt know them just for suggestion go and meet them both deal with them if you like the deal you are on

    I was at toyota, mechanic told me to do gear seals & timing seal under 10k including 4500 labour.i already have spent a lot, still tyres must be changed now as hot weather.i don't know what to do now.May be make a to do list of car works & get them done one by one.
    Also toyota mechanic advised me to sell this car & get newer model mehran in same budget but I like cuore much more then mehran.
    I was thinking to get gear,timing seals & other necessary work of engine done & then install efi on same engine as my car electrician has who claims to get 21-22km/litre.
    So far I have seen my car don't reduce oil,i drive about 15-20km/day in& around city but Toyota mechanic told car reduces oil only on long routes.

    visit those mechanics which i have mentioned...talk to them, then come up to a decision...

    used kabuli tyres will cost you 7-10k, depending upon condition

    new tyres 13k

    So in 8 months, complete bore as well as ring piece twice. Either your mechanic was an idiot or you weren't careful during the running period. This is just insane amounts of money spent, did you get all the work done from the same mechanic?
