Default Mira ES 2013 Hard Steering

I recently bought a Mira ES 2013, 16000 km driven, the problem is that its steering is very hard. I have tried and driven another mira and there is significant difference between the two, mine is very stiff. The car is like brand new, no major accidents. + i have also tested for any errors using the OBD device but there are no errors. Can anyone help me with this?

Steering cover does not make the steering soft. Go have it checked from a mechanic - my Mira has a really soft steering.

I have driven a friend's mira es 2012 many times and its steering is really soft. I am quite sure it has an EPS in it. Get yours checked asap.

@sdanish; EPS (electronic power steering) motor is not working which provides assistance while turning. You say your car is non-accidental so you should start by checking the fuses in the fuse box. Hopefully you will find a blown fuse.

Replace it with a new one and the problem should be solved.

However if it burns out again then you need to take your car to a good electrician.

Dear a normal practice of dealers here. They send imported cars to khradia and get their ends pressed. So probably this can be the case. You hve to be very very careful messing with this car. If there is no check light for eps then the problem can b in the steering assy.

EPS is realy soft and one should not feel any stifness. I will suggest you visit a good machanic and ask him to unbolt the ends and check the ball joints and tie road ends.
