@xulfiqar
thanks for the advice.
about what im actually making, im currently tossing over the idea in my head which would be easier to make, a buggy or a caterham. currently im leaning toward the buggy.
im now adamant on the 4age, it seems to be the best choice.
ive come up for the design of the suspension, its going to be similar to a toy cars suspension, with two seperate axles on the rear so hence there is no need for a rear diff.( i think)
to me it seems for hard shocks, it is suitable.
there is a vertical spring/(will add a shock in the middle in the full sized one)
and below that is a metal rod in the same orientation
( i tried to make a diagram out of letters, but the website engine word wraps it, makeing it useless)
;-(
so normally the wheel etc is pushed down, but if it takes a hit the round links allow it to go up w/o messing with the steering.
i think the rear should be the same, just w/o the wishbone link , and a v short axle, not linked to each other to save the need for a diff.
the front however a diff will be needed, and a strong pair of shocks/springs to handle the direct impacts on them.
what do you guys think?
in the meantime, ill look for some more simple-ish designs.
for the steering, i might fabricate a simple rack and pinion, or ill have to take a larger vehicles setup and cut it down to size.
will go talk to some local car repairsmen/mechanic etc to look for alternatives.
here is a pic of the toy cars suspension.(after a bit more research, it seems that full size suspensions are v similar to this)
