Well guys, i have got a ticket today at Dubai Chowk for having tinted glass of my car windows. I think it is the time to remove the black paper from the window glass.Anybody has the idea how to to remove it easily ?
go where you got it it would be better to remove them professionally
and if your screen is some kind of ruined you can always blame him lol
lift up one edge using a blade or knife and then yank it off. pay special attention to the rear glass as it can damage your heater lines.
if the shade of the tint is too dark i-e 70% and above,,,,,,u wont be able to remove them by the method Storm has mentioned
instead u wud have to use kerosine oil,,,,,,,,,,,i used it to remove tints from my car,,,,,,,,
@hamdani_08i had 100% (or so they call it here) tint on my merc and a few days back i just tore it off,.. no issues, and no residue.
really,,,,,,,,,,,i had a lot of problem in removing them
Actually, i bought the car with tint already pasted, so dont know its history and it is not so dark.
@hamdani_08i've only had one major issue with tints. in my last 68 beetle there was a silver tint on the back window which i could not remove even with a blade. was fit from the inside and when i pushed really hard i was scared the back window would pop out. I should have tried your method for that.
i think it also has alot to do with the type of paper, and the duration it was on the car for. mine was supposed to be a really good quality paper,.. and was only on the car for a month or two.
bhai its a very simple method, use your hair dryer and blow some hot hair for a minute or so and just peel it off..... dont use BLADE or KNIFE or SHARP object.....
I 2nd portage1, hair dryer is best option to remove sticker and tint from glasses.
go to any tulla and he will remove them for u..(Y)..
Hair dryer ? means blowing the hot air on paper and then ?
@vki think your method is the most effective,.. but it can get expensive.
@storm..may be..
@ storm,,,,,,,waisay the Hair Dryer method seems great,,,,
and yes ,,, the paper on my car had been on it for about 3 years,,,,,,,,and though it was almost 100% the quality might also be an issue bcoz it left a lot of residue which took quite an effort to get removed
As portage1 said, best way to go.
Well, i blow the hot air on paper today ............. but nothing happend. Now i will try knife method tomorrow.
use hair dryer heat little longer than, it will come out real easy.........
or let the police do it
Don't do it with a knife you will get scratches on your windows.
