Only the DB7 Zagato chassis was shortened, not the DB AR1.

One interesting thing about this car is that there were no provisions for a top. The car was made primarily for Florida and California but apparently a lot of car's have been brought back to Europe.

No top? Hmmm, I hope the instruments are waterproof. It'll probably work well for 9 months of the year in the Kalahari desert as well :D. You'll have to wash the car very very carefully though.
Just to clear a bit of confusion, this was made by Zagato wasn't it? Or Aston took control for this project?

What I meant about the GT was whether it was derived from the DB7 GT - the last incarnation of the DB7 tin-top. Seeing at it came from the Volante, I guess not.
