Guys, please calm down. PakSuzuki is not going to do sh*t in the next year or two. Why? Their sales of hatchbacks (yay Mehran and Cultus!) are still at an all-time high and they don't have any factor motivating them to diversify their portfolio. Sure, LIANA failed miserably when compared to Baleno -- but PakSuzuki didn't do anything to correct their mistakes then and they are not going to do anything about it now.
1.0 lit Swift would be a bullet in the head of Cultus. That's not just going to happen. Even if it does, it will be priced higher than Cultus. Just like Alto was supposed to replace Mehran, but that never happened and now there's a price difference of around 2 lacs between the two, same thing is going to happen with Swift and Cultus. The older versions are here to stay until PS has recuperated their costs for setting up the manufacturing plants many, many times over.
