You know everybody was saying that $55k is a lot of money for this car, but I think it's perfectly priced. This isn't a car whose demand is driven by price or its performance details. It's a specialty product- on looks alone, nothing even comes close to looking this unique.
So $55k is perfectly justified.
Remember when the 500 Abarths came to the US? For the first year of production, you had to pay to get a spot in the order process. For a Fiat 500 with some stickers! The Focus ST had come out around the same time, and was priced a few thousand dollars more than the Abarth, yet you could buy one at a dealership pretty easily without hassle. I waited 2 months for a simple test drive of the 500 Abarth!
So $55k for the first Alfa Romeo to hit the US shores in 40 years is perfectly priced!
