The Black Stallion
912 rwhp Supra
“I wonder which Supra in Norway has the most horse power.” This is likely not the first question you ask yourself when you wake up in the morning. Regardless, there are some folks that do ask themselves that question and one man in particular who decided the answer to that question needed to be him.
Let’s back up a bit though so we can give you some history on how this all came to be. Originally, this black beauty was imported into Norway in 2005 from Dubai. It started its life in Norway as a rebuilt show car with occasional track sessions and drifting competitions. Then, sometime last winter, this cars fate would be ultimately be determined when it was one of a very few 1000hp cars to compete in Time Attack! With 912rwhp @2.2 bar and 743 lb/ft of torque it was unanimously decided that this was indeed the most powerful Supra in all of Norway.
Builder, Are Ourom had his hands full with this project and everything on this car is absolutely top shelf. Carillo Rods make sure the CP Pistons don’t separate themselves from the engine block and the Boostlogic T6 turbo kit with a GT47-80 ensures that 1000hp is always ready to “whinny” when you give the “Giddy up!” command. To prevent dehydration 1200cc injectors and a Titan Motorsports fuel kit keep this animal well watered for those straight away sprints. The head of this beauty is also in keeping with that of a true thorough bred. She’s running Greddy cam gears and HKS 272 cams with a Greddy timing belt strong enough to make sure those little Ferrea 1mm oversized valves don’t decide to meet up with those pistons for a Norwegian jig ( or “Leikarring” for those of you who are familiar with the native language). Managing all of this brawn is an AEM engine management system and a Greddy 4” exhaust that keeps all the carbon dioxide from choking out our “Dark Prince” as he gallops down the track.
To keep unnecessary weight from slowing this stallion down, its trainers decided to take a Do-Luck body kit and replicate it in complete carbon fiber. Fenders, hood, side skirts and front bumber are all custom complete with a carbon rear hatch as well. The custom wide body kit uses BMW E46 fenders making her almost 5cm wider on each side, just enough to hide those 18x11inch wide Volk GT-U’s which are shoed by Kumho V70A tires. Bringing those rims and tires close to the car but just far enough away so that they don’t rub, are Tein Flex Coilovers. And D2 racing brakes sporting 355mm discs (14 inch rotors) with 8 piston D2 calipers make sure our hero stay’s on course and out of the grass.
Since this is primarily a track car, don’t expect to find the same creature comforts that you would in your average soccer mom’s Mini Van. However, a complete custom carbon fiber dash housing 4 Greddy gauges, boost, oil temp, EGT and Air Fuel provide all that’s required for the jockey to feel more than at home in his Sparco saddle. Although you won’t find this Black Stallion romantically galloping down a beach into the sunset any time soon (and thank God for that), you can expect to see it break more records and show the rest of the world what it and its owner are made of. If I were a betting man, I’d bet on Black.
