Default AL-Haj FAW Motors going to launch Vizi Hatchback in Pakistan

Al-Haj FAW Motors is pretty close to launching its new hatchback dubbed around the world as ?Vizi or V2′, but our sources say that the new 1.3 liter hatchback will be called Vizi in Pakistan and is just weeks away from being introduced to the starved Pakistani market.

FAW Vizi is a small hatchback, comparable to Swift and Vitz but in the engine area, Vizi has a 1.3 liter engine which produces 67 KW and 120 nm. of torques. In full details, it is a water-cooled 4-cylinder, with 16 valves, DOHC, VCT-I, electric control and multipoint fuel injecting engine.

Vizi is a Euro-4 certified model which is front wheels drive, and which gives 100 kms in 6.1 liter of fuel meaning the kmpl is about 16.39 which is fairly impressive but city driving would get you about 12-13 kmpl (kilometer per liter) at max.

The Vizi will offer two airbags (One driver and one for passenger), ABS + EBD (Electronic brake distribution) brakes, neck injury protection head rest, anti splash special coating, Four Built-in anti-bump girder in doors as well as front bumper for protection against collision.

Looks promising- not very good looking though.
It will be better for them to stay away from an automatic variant...

Dont expect it to be cheaper then a Wagon R in anyway.
Get over the fact that Xli lacks power windows, Its an Xli because it lacks thoose features or else it would be a Gli or an Altis if had all the goodies.

Expect it to be 3 times the car! Pakwheels review for FAW's Sirius was rather good...

I have seen this car up close at FAW sajjad motors Faisal Town Lahore.

The quality of plastics and the knobs is bad, very cheap.....

Another thing that this car may not enjoy is the lack or absolute no availability of parts at the Kabariyas like Bilal gunjs and sher shahs.

This Car will have the same fate as, Chevrolet, Santro, Cherry QQ, Sunny, Lancer e.t.c or may be even worse due to the "MADE IN CHINA" label, No new car in pakistan can survive unless it is made by Shitzuki, Toata or Handa

    Unhappy Nice

I have to agree with Muradi. Its a sad and unfortunate fact that only the three car company products survive in our economy. The reason is simple that the people don't have disposable income to risk it on any new product. And those who have money don't bother to buy econo boxes. Unless FAQ plans to sell it at a cutthroat price well under 1 million rupees, I don't see this car succeeding here. Sad but true.

The Japanese Yen Credit cycle will stop in 8 working hours if Govt. of Pakistan 'dream' about hammering the Automotive industry. Infact on the contrary the cartel of 3 Local automotive producers have submitted a proposal to GOP for cancelling the 'Deletion' program attributing to power shortage and high taxation over local vendors ' making Locally manufactured JAPANESE new vehicles out of reach for people. [ in deletion program within 18 months time the vehicle shall be 100% locally manufactured while at the launch it can be 100% CBU imported & within 3 months of launch it shall progress from 30% local 70% imported to 100% local ] - so far Indus is playing highly criminal game of not changing shapes as compared to Honda

True, our country is already suffering from big crisis, people cant afford to risk a big amount of money with the fear of car sticking to them forever, this is where the 3 Gang Succeeds.

    FAW XPV is doing great
more can be seen on road
also FAW has done good marketing this time
placing banners and bilboards all around city
even near Shitzuki dealer ships with prices mentioned
XPV is more then wagon R on roads
and if they market Vzi right then Swift would suffer
    Hanjiii Kaa Storeey Eehh !
