    Default FAW V2 Owner's Review

    So I finally made my Father agree and bought this beauty.
    Now you guys are gonna get the first owner's review I guess
    I've driven it for almost 500kms now.
    First talking about the drive,its beautiful and wonderful.
    The acceleration is just freakin awesome.
    I asked a friend who has 2013 gli to have a little race with me just to check the acceleration and I was amazed when the gli couldnt even catch up close :')
    The ABS brake is quite responsive.
    Although there's a little play in the paddle(if play means you have to press the paddle more).Bit the ABS WAS QUITE RESPONSIVE
    The suspension was also wonderful.
    I just felt of it like my dad's corolla.So comfortable that I'm totally satisfied.
    In the interior there's ample seat for a person like me (6''1' tall) on the front seats and the people on the back can also easily be entertained.
    I didnt have a usb so I borrowed it from a friend for a bit
    Usb played well and the two speakers did the job for me although I like high bass but they're perfect for doing the job .
    The steering is very easy to handle.
    The only issue I had was that it took me almost a day to get used to the opposite positions of headlights and viper knob.
    The plastic of interior as some people said isn't really cheap but the color sometimes make it look so in high sunlight.
    The grip of the car is amazing,just like a JDM as I'be previosuly owned a JDM.
    Why did I buy it?
    I had to buy a car now and my considerations were cultus,wagon r,used vitz and passo.
    It was quite difficult to make a choice.
    Pros:
    The car is brand new unlike JDMs,it wont make me go to the workshop again and again,even if there's anything wrong,its the company's headache to solve the problem upto 50,000 kms.
    It has dual airbags as compared to cultus and wagon r.
    Power windows,power steering,ABS which are not there in cultus.
    The drive is very smooth.
    It is way more powerful as it is 1300cc and I could not get any other 1300 cc new car in this range.
    Cultus and wagon r didnt werwe totally waved out of my mind after V2.

    Cons:
    Uptill now no resale,but I am hapy that they have set up their plant in Karachi and they say they will be starting its local production in 2015 which means they are here to stay and make a name in the market.
    Spare parts although available all over Pakistan in 3S dealerships but not in open market uptill now.


    I was able to convince myself that these cons are nothing infront of the pros so I finally decided to take it.I'm loving the ride untill now as its beautifull,sexy and a good performer.I'm sharing the pictures .I'll sooon be getting its body kit made aswell.
    Anything else you guys wanna ask me,you can.

    Ive used my V2 for almost a year now and I'm really satisfied with it.My brother has also bought a v2 after my experience in white color.
    He is also enjoying the ride.
    I would recommend anyone who has a budget of 1 million to go for this car.
    My brother got this Financed from JS bank.
    We're loving it

    Default a few issues

    Its been just 10 days since i bought my V2. The very next day after getting my V2 i noticed yellowish green liquid drops on the floor where it was parked. I din't know what was it... i was worried about brake oil or transmission oil etc. I took it to dealership and they found out that it was the coolant and the coolant box was leaked. They replaced it and it was fine. After two days the brakes started giving lots of squeaking noise and black brake dust on rims. Again took it to dealership and they serviced the front brakes. The noise has reduced to almost none but sometimes it does. the black dust is still there. Don't know why... and today I started my car to go to work and guess what... the car won't get into any gear... No reverse, no first nothing... the clutch was too loose and the gear shifter got too hard to push it into any gear. Got my car down the slope and somehow managed to put it in third gear... gear shifting started to work but the clutch was too loose... just a centimeter of foot lift engaged the gear. Took it to dealership again and they found out there was some air bubble in the gear oil and needed oil bleed to fix. They did it and now the gear is smooth again. Just 10 days on new car and just 700Km driven... Lets what else it has to offer in the coming days....

    I liked this car but seems that FAW has no quality itne problems to China bike bhi nai deta. Waise how was the drive pick ac ect.

    U can take that as an exception.. yes a new car should never face such problems.. some other owners have also experienced break squeaking problem... common issues in v2 are air noise and some cabin noises..

    The drive is awesome. very comfortable and good road grip. Ac is also very chilling. The pick is good. I dragged it in third gear with a swift... both were equal/side by side and then my V2 started getting ahead and when i shifted in 4th gear it went like a rocket. Swift couldn't catch-up... Although a few problems but still i love the drive and engine sound and pick.

    Hopefully it will remain trouble free in future as u have already suffered enough...

    That's good that v2 is even faster then swift. Once I drove swift it went like rocket.

    Default Engine Oil

    Guys please suggest some good engine oil for V2 as first 1000km oil change is coming up. Which one is the best and also of how much viscosity should be used? Some one told me 10w-40 would be best for V2 as summer season is here.

    As its a new car so it needs thin oli 5-30 of zic is good. U can order online for genuine product. 10-40 will be to thick for your car. And isn't new car oli changed at 5000km or faw is doing at 1000km.

    5w30 is best for it.

    It's not only V2 that may cause trouble though brand new.......issues may arise in any car. I had bought 0 meter Santro in 2009, just after few 100 kms its gear box started gvng troubles. Hyundai Showroom checked n told tht water is gtng mixed in gear oil, probably coz of engine Wash. They changed gear oil, aftr few 100 kms again the same issue n trust me it was repeated 4 times......then a mechanic there did some jugar by applying loads of Majic depoxi on a piece of tyre tube n pasted it over some point near gear oil chamber. After tht water never got mixed wd gear oil till I had tht car.
    Then around 5k kms my Santro stared to bubble even at speed of 40 km/hr. Did lot of alignments n wheel balancings but of no use. Later it was discovered that wheel discs needed Tool, just after 5000 km of use of a new brand car whereas it is suggested after 40k mileage n that too if required!
    So car is a machinery, anything may happen anytime. Wish u good luck wd new ride.

    Default Test drive od faw v2

    before sharing my experience I told that I remained a driver of santro club since last 10 years on regular basis moreover I drove honda civic, toyota xli, cultus, lancer, mehraan, charade.

    In my opinion faw v2 having 1300cc dispalacement has no optimum level of engine pick up as I was expecting it feels just like santro engine drive. It has VCT engine but after attaing higher rpm its speed or pick could not be felt on higher side.

    Transmission was changing like of suzuki cultus, on the other hand clutch was very soft and working accuratly, break was also not very good but was acceptable.

    One this about pickup was appriciating was that upon starting ac there was no extra presure felt on the engine.
    Its stearing has EPS system it was giving a good experience but the stearing of wagon r and xli is more soft tha this one.
    Regading interior the ac nobs and other window nobs are looking & feeling having a weak & poor quality.

    In conclusion it can be said that it may be compared on the level of cultus or other 1000 cc cars and other 1300cc cars have better brands level than this car

Drive thek hy per Daihatsu Mira sa soft nhi...

    Joking ray.
    Bro v2 having same fuel consumption vs to 800 1000cc engine. I think it is giving more from suzuki cars.
    If someone having purchase power then he should also having the power to pay the tax. Tax is only few thousand not in lakhs.
    By the way sale is much better for new entrant. All other assemblers are working here since 1980 so please please don't try to compare with other assemblers.
