    Default FAW V2 Owner's Review

So I finally made my Father agree and bought this beauty.
Now you guys are gonna get the first owner's review I guess
I've driven it for almost 500kms now.
First talking about the drive, its beautiful and wonderful.
The acceleration is just freakin awesome.
I asked a friend who has 2013 gli to have a little race with me just to check the acceleration and I was amazed when the gli couldnt even catch up close :')
The ABS brake is quite responsive.
Although there's a little play in the paddle(if play means you have to press the paddle more).Bit the ABS WAS QUITE RESPONSIVE
    The suspension was also wonderful.
I just felt of it like my dad's corolla. So comfortable that I'm totally satisfied.
In the interior there's ample seat for a person like me (6''1' tall) on the front seats and the people on the back can also easily be entertained.
I didnt have a usb so I borrowed it from a friend for a bit
Usb played well and the two speakers did the job for me although I like high bass but they're perfect for doing the job .
The steering is very easy to handle.
The only issue I had was that it took me almost a day to get used to the opposite positions of headlights and viper knob.
The plastic of interior as some people said isn't really cheap but the color sometimes make it look so in high sunlight.
The grip of the car is amazing, just like a JDM as I'be previosuly owned a JDM.
    Why did I buy it?
I had to buy a car now and my considerations were cultus, wagon r,used vitz and passo.
It was quite difficult to make a choice.
    Pros:
The car is brand new unlike JDMs,it wont make me go to the workshop again and again, even if there's anything wrong, its the company's headache to solve the problem upto 50,000 kms.
It has dual airbags as compared to cultus and wagon r.
Power windows, power steering,ABS which are not there in cultus.
    The drive is very smooth.
It is way more powerful as it is 1300cc and I could not get any other 1300 cc new car in this range.
Cultus and wagon r didnt werwe totally waved out of my mind after V2.

    Cons:
Uptill now no resale, but I am hapy that they have set up their plant in Karachi and they say they will be starting its local production in 2015 which means they are here to stay and make a name in the market.
Spare parts although available all over Pakistan in 3S dealerships but not in open market uptill now.

I was able to convince myself that these cons are nothing infront of the pros so I finally decided to take it.I'm loving the ride untill now as its beautifull, sexy and a good performer.I'm sharing the pictures .I'll sooon be getting its body kit made aswell.
Anything else you guys wanna ask me,you can.

    Edited: 6th November 2015
Ive used my V2 for almost a year now and I'm really satisfied with it.My brother has also bought a v2 after my experience in white color.
He is also enjoying the ride.
I would recommend anyone who has a budget of 1 million to go for this car.
My brother got this Financed from JS bank.
    We're loving it

Read all comments , buddies IMO Car will definitely get its share in the market, as per PAMA production & sales units report every company is facing reduction in sales units due to imported or JDMs , when this car will assemble in PAK it will attract the WHT & Advance Tax as in the case of every assembling company operating. till may 2015 tax authorities are exempting due to import or auto policy going on if m not wrong . i have seen V2 in Chocolate, Red , & white color cars on road in RWP/ISBD. it appears that they are planning to be in the market for the long run as Alfalah Bank offering lease mode for the Faw cars. & i hope they start assembling in mid of 2015 before budget announcement otherwise there could be tax or other charges be imposed as no one from the big 3 want to have more competitors in the market. these 3 are making fool the pak customers by not offering the same cc engines in same capacity one has to compensate for the other option.
& on the marketing issue Faw dont have capable person at their showrooms who can convince the customer as i met with executive manager & he was not sure about EFI & MPFI in the V2 Case. i asked him why V2 has door rubber on the main body not on the doors & he was quiet like i asked him for the Loan

what a superb thread, one cant get better review about v2.
wel i m just a newborn to this automobile world. needed a car for the family. i m middle class person, can only keep single car n intend to keep it for a long time bcoz cant change cars with time. have dropped the cultus n wagonR options as i heard abt v2.
but i am a bit confused btw v2 or used vitz or passo. If i go for resale n longevity, passo n vitz seem suitable. Bt the features n d performance of v2 as by the comments of xperienced ppl, this v2 is tempting. Any sugestions for my situation? And as many smal cities in pakistan, my city also makes bumy roads, so does v2 have suitable wheel engineering? N if i think of resale, how bad it can go, if the production doesnt go well n v2 doesnt keep its charm for a longlife?

Well if u aren't resale crazy then with that sort of money having those features air bag being top of the long list being a brand new vehicle well what else can beat the v2?
About if they are going to stay well they stayed quite a lot and made heavy duty trucks before getting into the light vehicles and finally the hatchback they did make a statement. Other than that, who really knows the future?
Still there are 2 other threads about v2, might wanna check them out as well.

    Hi
I am buying a car for myself so today I went to faw motors near sown camp Rawalpindi.Took a test drive of V2. The pick is real smooth. Brakes are good suspension is great and gives comfortable feel. But one thing which irritates is the placement of wiper and indicator controls.Although there are some cons but seeng the features and price they can be ignored. I had other options in mind such cultus, wagon R and santro but now i will definetly buy V2. Anyone please confirm what is registration cost of v2 it.

    Regards
    Hamza

Daewoo racer and many beemers also has the indicator on the left side. Its just a small thing when considering it's features like the airbag it's totally worth it. @fmkiani can guide u more about the vehicle registration.

Look into if the controls can be changed into this. And which color you decided to go with?
