    Default FAW V2 Owner's Review

So I finally made my Father agree and bought this beauty.
Now you guys are gonna get the first owner's review I guess
I've driven it for almost 500kms now.
First talking about the drive, its beautiful and wonderful.
The acceleration is just freakin awesome.
I asked a friend who has 2013 gli to have a little race with me just to check the acceleration and I was amazed when the gli couldnt even catch up close :')
The ABS brake is quite responsive.
Although there's a little play in the paddle(if play means you have to press the paddle more).Bit the ABS WAS QUITE RESPONSIVE
    The suspension was also wonderful.
I just felt of it like my dad's corolla. So comfortable that I'm totally satisfied.
In the interior there's ample seat for a person like me (6''1' tall) on the front seats and the people on the back can also easily be entertained.
I didnt have a usb so I borrowed it from a friend for a bit
Usb played well and the two speakers did the job for me although I like high bass but they're perfect for doing the job .
The steering is very easy to handle.
The only issue I had was that it took me almost a day to get used to the opposite positions of headlights and viper knob.
The plastic of interior as some people said isn't really cheap but the color sometimes make it look so in high sunlight.
The grip of the car is amazing, just like a JDM as I'be previosuly owned a JDM.
    Why did I buy it?
I had to buy a car now and my considerations were cultus, wagon r,used vitz and passo.
It was quite difficult to make a choice.
    Pros:
The car is brand new unlike JDMs,it wont make me go to the workshop again and again, even if there's anything wrong, its the company's headache to solve the problem upto 50,000 kms.
It has dual airbags as compared to cultus and wagon r.
Power windows, power steering,ABS which are not there in cultus.
    The drive is very smooth.
It is way more powerful as it is 1300cc and I could not get any other 1300 cc new car in this range.
Cultus and wagon r didnt werwe totally waved out of my mind after V2.

    Cons:
Uptill now no resale, but I am hapy that they have set up their plant in Karachi and they say they will be starting its local production in 2015 which means they are here to stay and make a name in the market.
Spare parts although available all over Pakistan in 3S dealerships but not in open market uptill now.

I was able to convince myself that these cons are nothing infront of the pros so I finally decided to take it.I'm loving the ride untill now as its beautifull, sexy and a good performer.I'm sharing the pictures .I'll sooon be getting its body kit made aswell.
Anything else you guys wanna ask me,you can.

    Edited: 6th November 2015
Ive used my V2 for almost a year now and I'm really satisfied with it.My brother has also bought a v2 after my experience in white color.
He is also enjoying the ride.
I would recommend anyone who has a budget of 1 million to go for this car.
My brother got this Financed from JS bank.
    We're loving it

well the result is pretty good against the price, well to deal with these people you will get the art after some time but still pretty good for first timer.

I think it is a bit too expensive for just one fog light, since it was not in stock they have placed the order, should be receiving it in a couple of days along with the spacer.

Got the bumper and spacer repaired from walton road, here are some pics after repair work. It costed me 1500.....I know I should have paid less but it was my first time getting such work done. No paint touch up done as yet.

Thanks for sharing the details, much appreciated. Rs 5300 does sound steep for one foglight. Hopefully the situation will improve once we have third party parts available in the market. I'm a little concerned why genuine parts aren't available at the dealerships and need to be ordered from Karachi.

Has anybody had any luck with rain shades? I checked and the ones for Suzuki Liana fit the front windows nicely but not the back. So I would have to find some that fit the back and buy two different sets which isn't ideal. They didn't have Swift ones so I didn't check, wonder if they fit.

Default Faw produces weird sound after 60

Just wanted to know if this is normal or not. My V2 produces a sound like a minor gunj after 60 kmph but sound disappears gradually.

Also wanted to know, does the fuel light light up? When fuel is about to end? I have been really trying to check it out. Haven't been able to get it turned on, i still have my gauge at E.

There is no fuel light bud. The red marker is the indicator that your are low on fuel.

This could be a feature which was not included in the PK version of the V2 just like the seatbelt indicator.

That's what I was wondering about too. From my rough calculations you have about 4 ltrs when the gauge is at empty (It was at empty and I filled 13 ltrs and the gauge was precisely at half).

Sorry to hear about your problems.

Please make sure all the things present in the trunk are properly grounded (the tool bag can be grounded using velcro).

We have seen complaints about rear small windows not being sealed properly which creates wind noise but I think this is the first time I've heard about dust seeping in. This is worrying indeed.

Cabin is noisy at high speeds yes. This is something I'm dissatisfied with too. Maybe it has something to do with the rear small windows not being sealed properly.

Fuel average depends upon a lot of factors and it will gradually improve after your first oil change.

Please work with your local dealership to address all issues which can be fixed under warranty. For others you'll have to come up with solutions yourself. If your local dealership doesn't accommodate your concerns properly after trying, then please email FAW directly. All the best.

i will never engage my money in a brand whose existence is very doubtful in pakistan in future atleast in passenger car segment. 1 million for a powered wagonR is a best buy - full japanese plus full sales support at every corner of paki and a decent resale. who will buy a faw if a owner plans to sell it? he will shoot himself on getting offers of 4lacs/4.5 lacs for a plastic on seats cars. i happened to see FAX xpv closely and i am really sorry to see its built quality. the dash board seems to be made of plastic toys stuff. i have no experience with FAW V2 whatsoever

Okay, that's very silly now. I am sorry to say but please be patient. Drive Wagon R, then drive your FAW V2. Make decision then. I bet after getting clear suspension and comfort difference you will at least put out Wagon R from all this. Who gave you advice of getting FAW if you were not even ready to be a bit more adventurous?

I got V2, the gear box was producing sound. Got it replaced in 2 days, would you believe it? And voila everything works fine for me MashaAllah. I drive my friend's Swift quite often, it has many problems too mainly the clutch. V2 has better suspension than swift. There are pros and cons.

Agreeing with the mileage about 10km. That's what you get out of new vehicles mostly. Get your first service and it would be around 12-13. I was able to get 14 but its really an art. If you were expecting more than that then i am sorry you didn't do your homework well, it wasn't a secret we all knew about its mileage.

One thing just striked me when you said something about Wagon R. Try to sit on rear seat of Wagon R and then sit in your FAW. I am sure you will never ever say something like that again.. You are being too critical so was i. Obviously we all are.

Go to FAW website, write them an email about your issues, they will give you a call next day. I am telling you their dealership is very responsive.

When i was gonna buy it, i knew what i was getting. But then i compared it with other cars, and i decided to get it. I really want to promote this car in Pakistan. Because Suzuki is literally managing to scam ud all for years now. I can't survive without ABS. 13-14 km is enough for me. Engine sound is rather beautiful than annoying my friends love it. And oh boy, in the midnight when thr cars rear fog lamps are on, it really smokes all PKDMs! Here in Islamabad people stop me to inquire about it. I just love my V2. Ignore the fact that its Chinese, you will be fine.

Oh BTW Wagon R doesn't have rear powered windows. I dunno what goddamn sense does that make but its a big joke.

Patience is the key here. In which city are you..? If you are in Pindi Islamabad go to the Pindi Faw Motors. Discuss the issues with them and they will solve it. Faw has a very quick response time. And they solve problem. That is for sure.

As far as WagonR is concern, my colleague bought a WagonR 6 months back, and is still trying to get his rear mirror lever replaced. The levers does not work at all. Nobody can make a flawless cars, that is why they have warranties.

All the issues that you are referring too are issues with the finishing touches. So they will be solved quite easily.
