Default How to keep car safe from Theft

Everyday more and more 'theft from Garage' incidents reported here on Pakwheels, especially for corolllas.

Just thinking if there is a simple way to protect car from theft from garage overnight? like removing some wires like distributor cable in some cars?
removing ecu might not be a good option and i think its complicated and reset settings.

    any suggestions?

i have alto 2005 and when i park outside my house i take al the distributor cables out and i have made and custom switch under passenger seat which allow the car to start , basically the function of that switch is to allow the current to start the engine after i switch the ignition from the key i creates difficulties for the robber to steal the car

There was a guy in Karachi who was really pi55ed off at such thieves, he lost 2 cars - both G100 charades back in the day when they were used as getaway vehicles, He somehow got a bakelite adapter that mounts on the firewall - it was actually a bridge to the ignition coil that would be mounted inside the car along with a secondary primary cut off to switch off the coil permanently. So unless the robber comes armed with wires, spark plug cable, and spare ignition coil - the car wasnt going anywhere.
