In the evening today I went to Shell Pump near Saddar Kachehri. As I parked the car and opened the fuel lid I came out and asked him to fill Rs. 700 of fuel. He went to the meter and I turned towards the door and knocked on the window and asked my sister to hand me over the wallet. As I turned back I saw him putting the nozzle into the fuel take opening and then pressing the handle to fill the petrol. As soon as he pressed the handle he looked towards me and asked "Sir cash hai ya card"? The moment he asked that suddenly I knew something is up. I looked towards the meter and it was crossing 470 Rs. The time between his pressing of the handle and asking me about the card was hardly 3 seconds and in those 3 seconds he had filled the tank with more than 4 litres of Petrol??
I shouted out loud "Ye kia bakwas hai"??
"Kia hua sir?" was his initial response as if he knew nothing. That made me shout even louder. I asked him to stop it. By the time it stopped meter now showed 530 Rs. I just stood there and yelled at him as loud as I could.
Another guy in Dress Pants and Shirt came running asking " Whats wrong sir". I told him what had happened. He immediately said "Sir ko meter mahi dikhaya tha? Chalo koi nahi bhool ho gyi, 700 ka daal do, ap sirf 700 dena sir".
What the hell. They were all part of the fraud. I yelled at that guy too and demanded to see the manager.
And here came the manager, "Sir we will look into the matter. Give us ur contact bla bla bla". He didn't even bother to call the filling guy. I knew he was part of the fraud too. It was no use banging head against the wall. I got the car re-fueled for 700 Rs. and left. From the bars I knew only 800 Rs. worth of petrol was filled.
I trusted the said petrol pump the most after DHA shell pump at Masjid chowk, but now its out of my list. Plz be careful if u intend to get the fuel from this pump.
