Default Parking Companies not responsible for theft of vehicle

Today, i noticed that the receipt issued by Lahore's official parking stands operator LePark states at its bottom that it shall not be responsible for theft of vehicle and that the owner is parking at his own risk.

It is ridiculous but as mentioned earlier it's common practice all over the world.

Ill post for you the pre-LePark parking parchi issued by the thaikay walas (The one in urdu). It only said that the contractor will not be responsible in case of natural calamity, riot etc.

Ask them specifically, what happens if your car gets stolen from there?. Do they take responsibility?

I believe there must be some hidden exclusion clause incorporated somewhere to exempt this liability.

hire a lawyer and sue the company - the LePark /AGCN - what is fee for ? the person collecting the fee shall be responsible incase car vehicle is missing. The stuff stolen from vehicle if not reported at time of parking is exempted as mentioned in urdu slip

You're not buying car insurance for Rs-20. You're merely allowed to have half a marla of their space, to park your car there.

unless the parking lot carry marking - Private property rights of admission reserved, using public space for parking and paying for IT to somebody for doing nothing but doing extortion .. ! .. thats' seizure of your basic right as citizen of Pakistan as per 1973 constitution.

property stolen from a parked vehicle privately insured at public place require a police report to claim. a vehicle stolen from paid parking is responsibility of parking contractor he has to ensure checking of every car & slip / card issued with regn number at time of entry and exit. any items inside the vehicle unless declared at time of entry with credentials are not in the ambit of parking lot theft.

we managed jinnah terminal parking lot for 3 years during 90's when NS was PM so I know the technical loop holes in system to stay safe or face a legal battle.
