Default Islamabad Jeep Club 10 th May 09 Pics

    Dear Friends

Yet another Gr8 & Record Breaking event under the cap of Islamabad Jeep Club ( IJC ).
We break the previous record of 19 with 23 vehicles.
Lot of easy & tough tracks were explored.
Centre of attraction was Pinzagore, we all were impressed by the performance of Pinzagore.

As usual lot of pictures & videos were taken by our friends, which will be posted in due course of time.

Kids enjoyed the most by driving 4x4 on plain track

Thanx a lot to all friends who came on this event.

    Thanx

    All IJC members

-It is always Man behind the Machine.

    Dear all

Yesterday was my first experience of not only attending an IJC event but also of off roading. Luckily I had a friend with me who guided me (along with some other kind members) on what gears to use and when. I deliberately did not venture into tougher obstacles/tracks but quite liked whatever performance my little Land Cruiser exhibited. I thoroughly enjoyed the event and experience but unfortunately had to leave early owing to some other commitments.

I would like to thank everyone and especially Aamir bhai for his warm welcome and making me feel part of the group.

Also yesterday Aamir bhai requested me for some feedback on the event and IJC which I would like to take the opportunity to provide.

The overall initiative along with its vision which Aamir bhai took the time out to explain to me is commendable. Under the grim economic, political and law and order situation it is important to find a glimmer of hope and pleasure in this case made possible by setting oneself targets and subsequently achieving those. This bring a unique sense of achievement while at the same time provides evidence of what one can do if one sets his mind to it. Also in parallel to having fun if the forum is projected in the right manner and corners, which I believe it will be thanks to so many enthusiastic members taking pictures; a lot can be done to improve the tarnished image of our society/country.

On the operational side of the event, I did feel things to be a little chaotic. I do not mean to offend anyone in anyway as it was my first event and may be this is how these events are supposed to be but I thought the event could be a little more regulated. By regulated I mean everyone should decide on one obstacle at a time and everyone (whosoever wants to) takes a turn and attempts it while others watch rather than do their own thing. Also even though the risk and possible damage to member’s vehicles is at their own expense I think someone should be nominated to discourage members from performing stunts that could result in possible damage to the individual’s asset and god forbid physical harm to the individual. Here I can quote the example of the black Vigo where the driver managed to break the axle. Observing from where I was it seemed quite unnecessary and could have been prevented. If both my suggestions can be incorporated while at the same time not taking out the element of fun in the game I will be very happy.

Overall like I have already said I thoroughly enjoyed the event and look forward to more. Thank you everyone.

We had a great event. Nice rides, Very good offroaders, Not too bad weather and team attitude just made this event one of the best.

Thank you rozzzzz for these awsome shoots.

@desertdevil - hats off to Marwat Jr. for lovely shoots.
I think you should change ur nick from desertdevil to rockdevil. U changed MINI's concept. U r a thoroughbred offroader.

@Charged - The way U tamed the Pinzgauer is impressive.

@DeeDee & Fihsak & Aniq - Thanks buddies for ur presence

@spoeciousworld - Man you r right. Me too feel very bad about Black Vigo. But you know it is the thrill, the adrenalin rush that compells the rider to test the limit of his ride. We try to stop people from overdoing but sometimes they don't listen to. If you recall ur first uphill track that you did in 2nd attempt, myself and two other guys were standing right beside ur ride. U listend to us and did the track so smoothly and professionally.

Secondly - I admit that we should go a bit more organized but ask each rider to do the same track one by one instead of doing what they feel like. But practically when there are more than 20 rides, doing every track turn by turn takes so long that only 2-3 tracks could be finished in 4 hours time. But we do it when the number of rides is limited to 10.

Hope I have answered your observations.

    @Cotec!!

Thanks for the appreciation... Throughly enjoyed drivin it!

And I liked these tracks... they are challenging.. not for the novice drivers. I guess we should stick with these for some time cuz im sure there are plenty of tough ones out there.

One of the most enjoyed trip with IJC!
