    Default Tire Pressure and Grease.

    Good day all. Two questions:


    1) What should tire pressure be for my RKR for on-road driving?


    2) Is it all right to grease the suspension of the same vehicle? Would it help, if only just a bit, in making the leaf sprung suspension a little softer?

    and greasing wont soften the suspension, it will only eliminate squeaks and noise.

    Tire size is 16inch, I think they are 275s, Falken A/Ts.

    28-29 psi when the tyre is cold. and thats early morning.

    About tyre size and air pressure, it can't really help u brother. So let experts jump in. Wait for @storm to answer u better.

    Grease won't soften the suspension. It's just u'll psychologically feel it smooth cuz of squeaks and annoying sounds vanished from suspension

    I would say make it 26 psi for a softer drive

    Got the noises checked just now, the mechanic is going to be replacing the bushes tomorrow morning inshallah. He says it will be as good as new

    @raohamid
    bushes will surely help u
    dont use too much grease as it will later on make layers of dust and sand particles on the suspension which i think is another reason for weired sounds

    is ur RKR soft top or hard top?

    for tyre pressure @desertdevil is right and for greasing just get yourself synchronise with RKR and you won't hear anything.. cheers

    I know! But I also use it as a daily driver. In the heat, its hard to get a hard top to cool from inside, cannot imagine what the soft tops are like.

    ^^^^^Bhai, the ac is good, very good, but Allah's heater is better, much better!

    The size of the tire is not a determinant of air pressure, the air pressure is not measured in volume, it's measured in pressure exerted on the tire and is determined in very broad terms by the weight of your vehicle,
    in my experience, your pressure should be a MAX 27 psi, at first it might seem a bit strange to you as you're not accustomed to it but in my experience 27 is more than enough for your car and if you're doing sand driving then deflate to 22... but re-inflate when ur back on tarmac.
    After inflatin gyour tire, get on knee behind the jeep and look at the tire from behind keeping your eye level around 15 inches off the ground, and compare it to the diagram attached. (I took the diagram off the net)
