Default 16400feet-Snow mountain climbing on my PradoTZ V6

Guys.. Went on my Prado TZ V6 petrol all the way from Hyderabad Sindh to the extream Norths- Kashmir and Gilgit agerncy ! 16400 feet above sea level- no track no road- all extream offroading to a unknown destination somewhere near Nultur in search of a ski point my father used to ski when he was training for a snow survival course back in 1975 in pakistan Air Force... we were astrayed and in confusion went on and on with my family alone on prado with no track all snow high till we reached the peak top of the mountain.. we were alone my father, me, my mother and sister and no other vehicle to assist..

Ascending was difficult used low range 4x4... traction was way dangerous on the narrow path we waded all the way to the top of the mountain in the snow but real task was descending the mountains where a couple of times the departure angle was so deep that it felt like falling from the sky when prado skided...

Miracalusly , we made our way after 7 hours of extream adventure to the ski point... here are some of the pics took.... if there was another vehicle to accompany and to take pics and video while i was driving--- it would have been great to share with you all..

Prado is no doubt a very reliable yet luxurious off-road character which even made a moderate driver like me to do such extream off road adventure with family...

Seems a nice adventure trip. Do give some details of your trip, like duration, distances covered etc. Did you drive all the ways up from hyderabad to ISB first? Also a bit about your Prado, which model petrol engine 3.4 or 4.0 and what was the fuel consumption like on the trip. Could one do camping up there etc. Any more pics specially from the top where you reached?

Curupt as we all are to small extent in many areas.... I say and wise people too say that WHEN IN ROME DO AS ROMANS DO ...

To avoid undue botherance and for safety ... camoflaging or disguising is right... where the sorroundings are wild and predators are at large... its not clever to face the danger but to avoid it...

great trip Dawar...............i have been to niltar couple of years back and i must say the view is amazing from there. i hope if you can track your footprints on the map if provided.

where you went was there any track or it was just bare snow? I know driving on bare snow is an extremely dangerous feat but i am sure if ur dad was around it means you were in safe hands... still bravo guy.....

i will try digging out niltar map and may be you can mark it roughly for me in which direction you went...... its always a fascination going to where no one else has gone before. i have heard there are beautiful lakes up there..

    waiting for more pics bro...

Yes its the backhill of Pir chinasi... took a wrong track but managed somehow to right one where I stopped and took pics.... when ur stuck or driving at great risk with family on board photography is least on the priority..... I wish I could share my Naltar pics but they cant be public.... and niether I have taken them with the intention to post them on pakwheels.... but i repent on that ! i wish i could have taken some pics ...

@Dawar loved your pics, bravo on attempting such tracks. just one important TIP:::::::: Do Not Use Green Plates beyond Abbottabad as it can result in extreme danger. I hope you understand. Nice luck you are back safe.
To all the extreme drivers, please come offroad like ME to keep others safe on the roads.

I think it was extremely dangerous to go out alone, specially if its this secluded place. even if your dad was there, he can't be of any help if you need towing or you slide off the cliff...
i've been to naltar for skiing and i know its tough terrain there, but going by yourself with no support vehicle is foolishness.
A well planned and supported trip makes it safe and fun for everyone

true nomi.....it was too risky and foolhardy of me.... there was wolves or some kinds there... and was too high... all my parents were depending upon me and God forbid if something wrong happened ....like tyre puncture or any trouble with vehicle ... there was no GSM signals too... It was Allah who helped coming over such a drive experience where snow skidding on the narrow undefined snow tracks over 10000feets with angels of departure... uff
