    Default Pajero or Prado--which one is better(Experts Plzz)

    For a change my fellow pakwheelers... lets get out of corolla civic wars and put our views to finalise which of these (Prado or Pajero) is the best!!! As nowadays many are opting 4x4 SUVs ....

    Why from 1986-1992 Pajero was the hot favorite and now the Prado... I guess both are arch rivals if given chance to
    tested against each other... which one do you pick???
    keep all the factors in view -- the off roading capabilities... economy... luxury and accessories... price and maintainence and all round performance..

    Here are some videos to make a view of both...

    if count the pros and cons of each then Prado stands out to be the winner in Pakistan due to some advantages for parts availibility and service but what about the rest of the world... mitsu has some kind of a bad and cheap reputation around the world regardless of having such remarkable products like pajero and lancer... evos then why.. what mitsu should do to win pakistani market with such great potential

    If you think practical then Prado is the best. Maybe Pajero is slightly better comfort wise but thats all about it. Serious thing is realibility, strength, parts availability, maintenance. All these things matter to the extreme. Why would one pay for something which is less realible and costier to run?

    Give choice to any wise man inbetween these two (dont even mention the model) and he will choose Prado over it.

    There is a reason for everything and you can see Prado all over the roads for some damn reason even though a second hand pajero is way cheaper to buy as of its no resale value.

    Well in Dubai, I've seen Prado as the clear favorite among everyone, even when it's price was higher than Pajero. Pajero was considered low grade car than Prado. And that's the reason Prado was everywhere in Dubai while you'll hardly find Pajero. In fact I would say Ford explorer (and other SUVs) were more.

    And I don't know the difference in parts, but Prado looks are awesome as compared to Pajero, whose shape is very basic. If I wouldn't have bought a Sedan and wanted to buy a SUV, my choice would definitely be Prado, even when I can get Pajero in a lot less price.

    true in dubai... there are many on the road a compared to pajero... pajero is 25% less priced then a Prado and offers much more feature like rockford 9.1 sound system and other things... pajero has one good thing that is the gear box.. which is 5 speed with command shift and the 4x4 sytem is also alot variable and can be customised to your need as compared to prado...

    Bud, which Dubai are you eyeing????It's PAJERO all over....especially the fourth generation is a big time hit!!!

    @All

    Though utterly a matter of preference( it's really hard to convince the other party), but strictly statistically speaking, PAJERO has been the trendsetter all these years. History.... MITSUBISHI was the FIRST JAPANESE motor company to make a 4x4 and a diesel engine. Back in the early 80s, after the Range Rover, only the Pajero Mk 1 filled in the gap by providing a luxury 4x4....though the TLC did exist but as usual was 'crude'!!! Millions were sold and records were set!!! Comes in the Mk 2 in '9I..... nothing came close in terms of looks, comfort, luxury and performance.....(the 3.5 V6 MIVEC motor developed in '97 still manages to beat the s**t outta a '05-'06 4.O V6 VVTI Prado)!!! Enter Mk 3.....one word .....'stunning'....anybody even with the tiniest of taste would fall for it. Imagine a full blooded 4x4 with a MONOCOQUE frame and independant rear suspension....that's technology!!!! The 2.5 and the 3.2 D-IDs are, anyday, far more powerful than the 2 KD and the 1 KDs!!! The new 3.8 V6 MIVEC motor in the Mk 4 makes over 270 horses while the 2010 diesel motor is expected to get 200 from the 3.2!!!! Anybody, still holding on to TOYota????

    Nice Misu_man.... You should be hired as the brand ambassador for mitsubihishi in pakistan... the taste buds have gone insipid here in pakistan... lakeer ke faqeer ho gaye hain saray including me who owns a 3.4V6 Prado... want to own a Pajero to but the conditions for mitsu are not favorable for it...

    Great first video, I think the LC handled it the best, least bouncing around. That was a very good obstacle.
