    Now that is a lots of water.....LOL.....well 3 years back probably in August there wasnt this much. Could be due to onset of winters. i would still suggest to go for a snorkle or an alternate means of breathing before attempting it. Avoid May or June as Global warming has contributed a lot to glacial meltdown.

    I am thankful to all the members for sharing their experiences and advise me on my plan to cross deosai. I was planning to buy a Pajero Mini before this thread was started. The purpose mainly was offroading in the northern areas. But now I have opted for Pajero Junior and have been successful in buying one this weekend.

    Have prepared it for my offroad adventure this summer, with bigger ( Good Year) tyres, and roof rack . The Pajero is in excellent condition. I will load the pictures soon.

    Here I come ............. Deosai........... !!!!!

    @desertdevil

    ORAD site videos of kalapani are not labelled as such.....they are right next to the labelled barapani clips. Do watch the pajero's crossing...the 5dr drifting with the water current should put the MINI adventurers at their best possible alert!!! My airfilter did get wet around the outer core and it is always good to keep a set of spare filters (O,A & F) handy when you plan going that remote.
