    Default Jeep History

    I know there are many Jeep Lovers on this site who often love to have some info about Jeeps. Here is the good news for them. I am just going to put here the history of the Jeeps since its first Pilot Model “ Bantam 1940”.

    I will be posting 1 by 1.

    1940 Bantam Pilot Model:

    Jeep History -469542

    Using the term that has become generic in the English language, this is the undisputed first "jeep." Built by the American Bantam Car Company of Butler, Pennsylvania, it was delivered to Camp Holabird, Maryland, on September 23, 1940.

    It would "go places where tankers quit and birds would go back exhausted." *****Willys MB*****

    Awwwwwww....its not BLING...It gives a Tuff look ... doesnt it ??
    Now if it was also flanked by some Chrome Rims....maybe then it would have qualified as Bling.

    U had a very nice & cool ride. Mine are also gone on Friendship power basis. I will go for one or two again soon but will have to find some extra time for it.

    In that budget you should go for 1977 to 1980 FJ-40
    You can get a soft top version too

    Jeep History -629585

    or you can get a 1980's CJ-7

    @Aly, U can get following:

    1)As Arid mentioned 1977 to 1980 FJ-40...
    2)CJ-7 converted in to wrangler shape
    3)Suzuki Potohar
    4)If U like CJ-5 or Willys then U can get well re-stored & well maintained one even in less price.
