    Default Cholistan Rally 2010 experience

    (Pinks) MOD EDIT:
    Cholistan Experience video

    The video is 30 mins

    Dear Friends,

We had a splendid trip to Cholistan this year. Its was our first time being a rally participant. The atmosphere was charged and so were NN and myself. NN drove his LC 100 series whereas i was in Pajero 2.5 TDi. Both were running stock with roll cages being installed as a mandatory requirement. Navigators were; Pink Panther and Fishak and ground support and flag off was done by Laparwah. Thanks guys for making this event a success.

From the very begining it was decided that we would not be competing for the podium but would focus on endurance. The intention was to finish the rally in one piece and in peace and this is exactly what we did.

Will be posting pics and videos as we move along....

Oh yes I dooooo.......while returning via KKH from the recent summer camp (which u missed ), there were parts of unfinsihed KKH with compressed gravel, some really long like 5-6km, did some runs of 100+ kmph, had to engage 4X4 going fast as could feel the car moving around on gravel. Rough for the vehicle but truely exhilarating. My fellow passengers buckled up quickly and went awfully quiet !

    Thumbs up

Firstly many thnx Suhaib, for your constant support for this rally thread of ours. Like you, I truely believe this thread should remain near the top and 1st page atleast.

Last night I got to drive "Mango Reborn". It was awesome, the drifting, tail sliding and power response was just zabardast. The way it darted off the line even on its relatively skimpy 235s was yummy (wheels spinning even after shifting to 2nd). The feel of acceleration on it is bringing a wide grin on my face even now.

Am sure everyone will be wondering what exactly is "Mango Reborn". I will let the man himself present it to you all in due course.

By the way................MITHI desert challenge coming up in less than a month. So all wanting to join as a supporter, spectator, photoghrapher................and even as Navigator or THE DRIVER, say aieeeeeeeee.

VC, the engine swap in Mango is very recent, I understand its a full engine, gearbox, differntials swap. Mango had been to some of previous IJC meets and performed reasonably well, (not withstanding the huge black plume of smoke which it would leave at every obstacle it tried to overcome , now we won't have to worry about black smoke).

Mr Laparwah is a truly mitsubishi fan and has had a collection of Mini Pajero, Pajero Junior, Pajero IO and and this Mango version. He also was our sole supporter physically present during the Cholistan Rally. This pic of my LC jump in my avatar was very kindly taken by him during qualifying of cholistan rally. Basanti was actually a typo by me, it is actually TABASSUM, so it will be Mango Tabassum (a silly n funny joke during our cholistan rally trip).
