AOA. Some members of the Islamabad Jeep Club ventured out on Sunday afternoon for some exploratory offroading to lands owned by Noman aka Nomi1234 and his family near Rawat, Rawalpindi. The informal plan in the making for sometime was initiated by Nomi and a number of IJC members managed to join in: Shabab aka Untame, Salman aka TLCFJ40, Zohaib Jadoon on FDO1 and Asad aka DesertDevil on his Rally Pajero and myself on CJ7 Baltoro.
The gang got together around noon and headed around 15 kms down Rawat-Chakbeli Road to Nomi's Lands. The area is a sizeable chunk of land which is currently being developed for agricultural purposes and boasts the typical Potowar Plateau terrain and thus naturally presents great potential to offroad enthusiasts to test their rigs and skills. IJC members covered most of the key features of the terrain with Salman leading the way on a couple of tough tracks and Shabab right behind him most of the time!
Armed with some heavy equipment, my Cannon and Ehsan's Nikon, with wide and zoom lenses ready to go, I would have thought that the only limiting factor in the photographic equation will be my photography skills, but lighting was not always ideal most of the time. Nevertheless the results should be interesting, and look forward to comments by the participants and viewers.
