    @ Suhaib Kiani

    Looking macho. Nicely done. Congrats!

My 3 Qs: Where did you procure the 35" BFG MTRs, how much did they cost and are they brand new?

    Thx.

Real nice job Ehsan. Now I kinda miss my Wagoneer.

    A few questions / observations ;

What engine do you have in it ?
Isn't the intake hole a bit small ?

Doesn't that fabricated intake restrict air flow, as the concept behind an intake is to have an open air flow with smooth (rounded) bends.

Thank you for your comments and suggestions.. Here are the answers to your questions.

What engine do you have in it ?
    Its a Toyota B2 Diesel.

Isn't the intake hole a bit small ?
Doesn't that fabricated intake restrict air flow, as the concept behind an intake is to have an open air flow with smooth (rounded) bends.

I dont remember the exact dimention of the hole there but I made sure that the narrowest part of the whole air intake system with the snorkel on would be the actual intake on the engine. The cross sectional area of the snorkel itself is nearly 1.5 times that part so it would not restrict the air inflow significantly (the bends are as rounded or obtuse as would be on any aftermarket snorkel).
That being said, this was the first prototype and there are a lot of flaws in the looks and in the design also. I will be improving on this in time and make a new one when I get the time.

Suggest you have a 3'' pipe fabricated to give a more macho look
Thank you sir for the suggestion. I will keep that in mind for the next piece that we make.

I appreciate the input and would welcome any more suggestions / critique.
    Thank you
    Ehsan

    Just my 2 cents..

When looking at snorkels and engines, airflow is the primary factor to look at. A Toyota 2B would have around 200 cfm airflow... Can a snorkel flow 200 cubic feet of air per minute? for snorkels there arre complex calculations...
Here is a site which briefly explains how to calculate airflow.
Volumetric Efficiency (and the REAL factor: MASS AIRFLOW), by EPI Inc.

Also the second factor is the "Venturi Effect", which pertains to bends and restrictions.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Venturi_effect

A snorkel might look small compared to the body, while it might be perfect according to the engine.

Pro's in Australia incorporate the stainless steel snorkels for best performance. Plus i think they look sexy.

awsome mate .....id prefer this over 09 range rover, cayenne s or even x5m
i wonder how would it feel driving this monster ...prety interesting to find that people are actually putting in time and effort at restoration rather than driving dead cars/jeeps
the grace of a restored car is way more compared to the new ones ...looks unique, rare
