Great Going Ahsan Bahi.I am glad that Lazaaz is in very good hands.
Please do confirm regarding the leaf spring replacement.As u broke one in Neelam Valley & a desi pata was added.
Your shocks will be not performing well if you are still using that desi leaf spring.Also make sure that all the center bolts of leaf spring are Japanese.as once I broke a central bolt of leaf spring of left kamani (front side) once i borrowed Lazaaz from you for shikar & I still remember hamid was laying under her in December in shikar field to fix a nail in place of that broken center bolt & it took us 1.5 hour & help of a tractor hydrolic lift to do the same.
One broken central bolt nutt & you will be khuda na khasta out of the rally.
Also check the strength of the gear & engine foundations.Once I had willys (prior to Lazaaz) it use to break the gear foundations on high speed Jumps.But that one was 3c turbo diesel & your one is petrol so much lighter but I think you are using the same gear?
Also whats the temperature status on continuous full throttle sand H-4 stretch.My experience on Rocky gear with Diesel engine that on Motorway from ISb to Chakri temp started climbing on full throttle & high RPM's or above 120Km/H due to the difference of ratio between engine, gear & Diffs.As long as I remember u are using the same Diffs with Rocky Diana 5 5fwd gear.
More over the support of the radiator in the engine bay will not support the rally requirement.You should build a cage type box mounted on the frame & front grill of the vehicle to provide you the strength on the high speed bumps.Like the one we use to have for batteries desi build by Jamel dentor @ City saddar road.An additional electric fan will be also useful.
And what about the fuel tank? I dont think u can finish rally with the 26 liter tank u got under the passenger seat.Also check the durability of fuel lines, filter & carborator pipes.Jhal is famous for its Bad quality fuel (Irani Petrol).So make sure that u carry the proper mixture of high octane & supper petrol & off-course the required amount of fuel.As Qasim bahi got an EFI 1300cc Jimny & u got an old horse with a 3s petrol engine.Mean to say your fuel consumption will be much higher as compare to saidhi bahi's.
And one last advice...Just be calm once in Rally...your mottow is to gain experience, drive safe,finish the rally...And with all our prayers & a little good luck..Inshallah u will be on podium...beating Magsi's in Jhal Magsi is my dream....Saidhi already did....Inshallah we will do this again..either on Saidhi Bahi's Jimny....Para pilot's Lazaaz...or on Viatara (in future)...No body is perfect.....wait for others to make mistakes...u got family & friends.We all love you very much & be safe...safe drive stay alive
By the way who will be the navigator in Lazaaz....and do care for that sign...slippery when wet
