Exclamation Toyota Land Cruiser 80 series(1992-1997)

    Toyota Land Cruiser 80 series(1992-1997) - kenreiten2

I was wondering about a few things and am looking for answers.

this thread can help potential buyers.

How many Variants are available in this ?
    specs ?

and i assume there would be 3 types in the market
    Imported by indus toyota
    Imported from UK
    Imported from Japan

    Now

if one is buying this vehicle then what should he look for (pros and cons)

    maintenance
How many liters of engine OIl will it consume.
cost of fuel filter oil filter.
HOW much would be the cost of getting new shocks
    tires
    its fuel Mileages
    Etc.

    How many engines are available.

are there any options of swapping the Engine(now engine to be fitted on the stock Mount)?

will it be a good swap?

what type of engine one can find from bilal gunj and from Peshawar.

IS it easy to find a petrol variant or one would have to bare with the diesel engine.

how about swapping a petrol engine ?

conversion from manual transmission to auto ?(how much will that cost).

    too many questions few more

now comes in the restoration theory

how much money will it required to make one Rust free and painting it ?

    Now coming towards accessories

HOW much will ARB winch bar will cost?

    suspension lift kit ?

    light force or IPF lights

    RIP

Mine is a 5 speed Manual. It has around 250K milage (kilometerage) on it and you still don't feel the difference when going uphill or downhill.

I do regret not having an Auto transmission but don't think the Auto will give so much output. Not sure as I haven't driven one.

It has manual hub locks on the front and has an H4 button so it is not a full time 4WD. Don't know if it is better to have the manual hub locks or an electronic one.

The drive is amazing, so much amazing that at times on normal roads you will feel as if you are in a car and not a jeep. Its all stock.

Don't know if it will be affected (driving stability and all) with an ARB front bumper and heavy duty winch.

Auto is a bit comfortable to drive and the all time 4wd has alot of traction. But if you drive on hilly areas then manual is better. Economy of rear wheel drive LC is a bit better.

I personally prefer manual hubs over auto as they are less likely to jam.

The ARB bumper plus winch will have no affect on stability etc. it will actually protect the front very well and enhance the look of the vehicle.
