    Default Build a Project 4x4

    anyone interested in building a project 4x4 with me from the ground up based on locally available components. I am willing to finance the project with the initial funding of 100,000 and 35,000 per month for 6 months.
    I don't want to convert a willys or cjs. Want to build a proper 4x4 with SUV capabilties. Preferablly be a range rover, defender 90, land cruiser... (looks are as important as performance)

    I would have collaborated on this if I were anywhere near you, and I think we should go with a complete buildup from scratch rather then have one on LC, Landrover, or Rangerover. Somthing with a spaceframe usage, and can be a 2seater only with a good engine in the back or midengine.

    Cool
    Even if you are on the right track, you will get run over if you just sit there.

    hey....ur ideaz great...but niether am i an engineer nor an experienced guy...can only suggest u...so here i go...:

    well i prefer "Seemurgh" or a "Dodge" pickup to do the job this time...these really old-fasioned pickups and reallly worthy of someone reconditioning/modifying them....these are russian pickups(bigones as they r capable of carrying a weight of 1-1.5 tons) hehe...and available at a price range upto 95,000 depending on the condition here in qta...these pickups r used here in transporting heavy goods to the coal mines and these r very succesful too...

    So...interestingly it would be a unique masterpiece if planned well...may Allah bless u all

    @ RacerF1
    Thanks for the suggestion, I would prefer that but unfortunately I am all theory and havent had the chance to get my hands dirty on a project. Therefore, for experience sake and for a quick buildup it would be better if work is done on a donar 4x4 rather than building the entire frame from scratch.

    @yasir1711
    for your location, you can be a valualbe help in the project. From your description the pickups sound suitable for the project, but their current usage may seem that these vehicles are probably in a bad shape and would be needing new engine and mechanics. If we are able to get the frame and add on good condition mechanics, then what?

    Yeah ...I remember, it was this morning ...right ?

    I was a bit busy, call me again.

    There is this Kabaria on Multan Road near Thokar who buys scrap and junk from Army we can get a good CJ-5 or a CJ-7 chasis from him or if you dont like the CJs we can go for a FJ-40....chasis...he has them too. Once i saw a complete dodge truck too with the dead petrol engine for just 80,000. There are many options. I am really looking forward to this project.

    @aisheikh
    so this means that the CJ's gonna get lucky once again...well here in qta there is a guy who has fully equiped his neat n clean FJ40 with cruisings engine,suspention and differentials...and that jeep is worth looking and driving...ihad the same idea of putting the same engine and suspension into the russian piuckups suggested earlier...and the total expenditure would definitely be equal to the total investment from ur side...thx for ur consideration

    @yasir

    I think I may leave CJ asside as an option, because I need a bit larger and sturdier platform. FJ40 seems to suite the role.
