SQ, have taken delivery. Sent it straight to the shop for installation of power steering, breaks and a/c... tempted to install an automatic gear box as well so that i can use it in the city as well...

All very basic. 1981 Daihatsu F50. 4 speed transmission. 2.5 liter non turbo engine. Kamani suspension.
No power breaks no power steering no a/c.
All very clean. One owner since 1981.
Got it checked by the mechanic, said that the engine is good, had no back compression as the previous owner had got it tipped topped via Toyota Motors. Fresh paint and canopy as well.
Price....Demand was 325,000. I offered 225, 000 raised it to 240,000 and the seller accepted. Allhumdullilah I think its a nice deal for 240,000 as i would have spent double this amount had i ventured in to "building one" up myself.

Mitsu/ Nikka.. I MUST have power steering and breaks.. and of course an AC. Can live without an autogear box.

    IIQbal, yes all sold.

Storm.. trick is to make the purchase and then announce it as a surprise for the kids... that THEY the children always wanted to ride in an open jeep..etc...

If people at Daihatsu designed it without the power things then let it be so.....am sure it must be drivable without 'em......air con, yes, you have my vote on that!!!
