First of all thank you guys for all your input.
From all the debate above and on other threads on this forum, I have concluded that mostly people like Toyota for its resale and sometimes parts availability but Pajero lovers are highly dedicated to their brand and this can't be without any solid reason. One thing which is also evident that no matter which brand I choose, I will have to settle over atleast 16 or more years old model. With old model vehicles it is taken for granted that these might spread their legs right in the middle of a long tour. My original plan was to hold my current mehran 2010 for city use and buy a large vehicle for long routes (which are usually not much and more running will be on mehran) and keep it for another 10 to 15 years. Top notch condition old vehicles appear to be out of my budget and a compromising old vehicle seems unfit for this scenario cause after few years it will become more older and more breakdowns will be unevitable.
So I have decided to allocate this budget to a new model family sedan car most probably it will be a Nissan Sunny 1.6
I am also not willing to let go my dream of having a 4x4 luxury vehicle and to achieve this goal I intend to Sell my mehran (I hope it will fetch me around 500K) and look for a 3 door model with a new budget of 600K max.
Though I have one last question before I finalize my decision.
What are the advantages and disadvantages of a 3 door?
What I am already aware of is;
- 3 Door has less space than a 5 door for both seating and lugage.
- 3 Door being smaller in size is easy to handle inside cities.
- 3 Door shall be cheaper than 5 Door.
- In 3 door, the passengers on rear seats will have to jump over the front row to get in and out of the vehicle.
What I am not aware of is;
- Is this 600K budget is enough for a decent 3 door?
- Is 3 door driver seat comfortable enough for a say 500Km road travel?
- Does 3 door being lighter than 5 door has a lesser road grip/balance on road at high speeds?
- Any other advantage or disadvantage you want to enlighten me about.
I am here more concerned with on-road usage.
Thank you once again for your valuable input.
Regards,
Adeel
