    Default Jeep needs a new set of tyres... Help!

    salam all,

    My jeep cj5 needs a new set of tires.. The current hercules terra trac aw have served well for 3 years now.. Now they are showing signs of deterioration.. So want to get a new set.

    following are the basic requirements..

    1. New fresh dated tires only
    2. Tire size 31x10.50R15 maximum
    3. 50-50 offroad/onroad
    4. No chinese tires... Hercules were hard on tarmac.. Ok otherwise

    I have seen dunlop grandtrek AT3 and GT Savero AT Plus in pindi market.. How good are these? didnt find any yoko geolander AT-S.. where can i find new MT tyres??

    Need suggestions.. Share experiences

    Been using Yoko Geolander ATs (not AT/S) for a while now, no complaints. I personally preferred Dunlop SP/RV Majors which we had on the Cherokee prior to Yokos. Finding MTs is difficult to begin with and for new ones you probably have to import from Dubai or something.

    My recommendation however would be to try and find BFGs if you are looking to dish out the dough for new ones.

    BTW you can always play tire tire on www.tirerack.com as much as you want (reviews/ratings/comments etc for most brands). They also wheel wheel....and wheel on your car games. Also tell you the OEM tire/rim size for your vehicle. Enjoy!

    @akifjanjua and @rudeboy
    kamra is a good place to buy/change the tyres. there is a difference in prices of new as well as old tyres than those at pindi or isb. I had changed the tyre of my pajero jr in last month. since i had found very good conditioned used 215/70 R16 geolander yokohama there in 12000(four tyres), so there was no need to buy new ones. the stock was little older but very fair price(coz new one costing 8000 per tyre). the dealer had new stock too (specially yoko and dunlop). so if u want to save money, then go to this market on mail GT road Kamra. it is abt 80 km from isb/rwp.
    although there r many shops there but waqar tyre house is the best.
    thanx
