Default In Honour of Dr.Ehsan Kiani

    Salam Folks!

Most of you probably know of Ehsan Kiani, the gentleman extraordanaire from Islamabad. I for one stumbled across his reputation as building one of the best OEM after market tops for FJs in the States. Got intrigued and searched more...and I came across numerous mentions of his and his work.
Please go through this thread on one of the leading 4x4 blogs in the world.

Jeeps in Pakistan... A continuing thread. - Page 2 - Pirate4x4.Com Bulletin Board
I am deeply indebted to you Mr. Kiani for bringing laurels to Pakistan and to all of us Pakistanis and particularly those unnoticed mechanics, denters and painters who work tirelessly with simple hand tools and create the wonder, what we have all come to know as the Pakistani Jeep!

Nice knowing him, great work indeed by him and everyone in this business. We must value their skills.

Went through whole thread its great info,
    also liked 18@80DDC comments @ post #97,
    "
That last one is a great jeep, but toyota mudflaps? In Honour of Dr.Ehsan Kiani - shaking Just not right.A little black marker will fix those right up."
Even they can tolerate toyota engine and drivetrain but not mudflaps

Don't know why, i had a feeling that way we are not restoring these masterpieces from the history, most have run on vietnam and korean terrain, into its original shape like we do with the willeys.

Thank you guys.. I am really touched and humbled to go through this thread. Honestly speaking, I dont deserve this. I actually started the above thread in May 2006. From then on, my passion for photography, knowledge, and the feeling that we need to tell people out there what we are, that took over. It is quite unfortunate that even most of our own people dont know and dont realize the level of skill that is at hand here in Pakistan. I am always amazed to see the locally manufactured products. The creativity in the hands of fellow countrymen pushes me to look deeper and dig deeper into the small street workshops and see what is being made and how it is being made.
Some people may call it 'Jogarh', but to me there is some serious art and engineering hidden in the Jogarh. You just have to know which worker is the actuall Ustaad in each field.
I do nothing but document the creations, the art and the processes with my camera and pass it on so others know that we are not a nation of do-nothings. I wish I had half the skills as these guys do. Hats off to these soldiers of skill.
In my honest opinion, this thread should be renamed "In honour of Skill. In honour of Pakistan".
Thank you again for all the nice words. I am humbled
    Ehsan

    @poster

Truly we should represent as done by @ehsankiani to project local persons skill on Web so that others may know about us.

As not only those Off road Machines in alot of other things many of our illeterate people made wonders and we take them badly as one person made one Air Craft and he made it flying in suburbs and Police catch him and ceased his talent in the debry of fear.
