Default Help Required !!! Daihatsu Jeep

Here i saw most of the topics relating Engine Swapping, Car Restoration, Body Kit Modification etc etc.
With some very good comments & ideas from the experts and the members as well.
So i thought why don't i take some help from the Pakwheelers regarding my Daihatsu Jeep. . .

    Heres the specs;
    Type: Jeep
    Make: Daihatsu
Engine: Diesel (2800 or may be 2400cc not sure)

Rest of the things you can see in the picture.

What i want is to restore this Jeep in an original condition, but i don't have any idea about the Cost it take, Time it takes & Place from to buy this all.

One of my friend told me to buy Seats, Tyres & other stuff from Peshawar, Some told me to buy from SherShah, so now i am little confused.

So please help me as much as you can...

i agree, keep as original as possible. Shershah or even Quetta will be a good source for parts. Good luck and keep us updated!

your thermostat housing is sitting higher than your radiator cap - that will cause air traps - boiling the cooling water at this point.

Secondly put the proper air filter housing on this engine - its supposed to be a flat type beside the engine - with an oil bath trap beneath it, and an air horn to quieten the induction booming noise

    Default A very capable off-roader

Daihatsu is a beautiful vehicle. The newer Daihatsu Feroza and Rocky are relatively softer-feeling vehicles. I drove one of these and also had a newer version.
The great advantage is the straight body. All the corners are easily visible, and so, going in on very narrow tracks, become easier and a source of pleasure.....
    More next time, Insha'Allah

Dear! first make the decision of how much you want to spend on it... Put this project in Phases.
    1. Mechanically reliable - Sound engine, suspension and gears.
    2. Body work - dent paint plus electrical systems
    3. Add ons.. better Seats, dash board items, better tyres n rims...
    4. Extra's... Lights, racks, ....

As you are in Khi first visit Plaza to get some idea, then Sharshah..and still unsuccessful... visit Quetta.. if you are newbie in jeep thing... always do window shopping before making a final deal.

And Most Important! use internet to learn! specially PW there is huge info on PW and whole internet.

@Sajid bhai! I am also newbie who is trying to help even newer newbie (That what I think!) with some personal experience and logic.

Sir! Believe me you know much more than me! In notes sharing, I will be the one who is on receiving end all the time but I really want to learn from you! My career in 4x4 is just started with not so old and easy to maintain 4x4.

The 4x4 which are as old as me really scares me...

I am not expert but i think 1.6 petrol is good option for this jeep! and yes the cost of Diesel engine overhaul is very high. if you have petrol in it later you can add cng to use it as daily runner!
