    Default LC body change

I have come across recently a LC 85 model. The owner has recently swapped the body and placed a 92 LC body. The jeep has a removable fibre top..he is asking reasonable money and has its orignal engine i.e 3500cc 3B.
Can any one help me in guiding or atleast tell me whether it is legall to swap the body?
PS: there might be another thread which tells about body swaps kindly help me out since i am confused and the legality issue
    regards

If the chasis code matches the body then it's all good,
the fibertop code should be starting with BJ74 and they mostly came with 13BT or even the occasional (underpowered for this vehicle) 2L but I dont think they came with a 3B,
however the engine is a minor consideration if installed correctly and in good condition,
your main concern needs to be the chasis code,
if the chasis code doesn't start with BJ74 walk away, a body swap is only legal for the same series.
Check the chasis code from the chasis itself, not the documents or the VIN plate and let us know...

its fine as the chasis code is written on the frame. Just see if the VIN plate is properly rivited. and yes it comes with 3b. Nothing to worry about. Body change is totally legal if the model series is same.

The fitting of 3B and 13Bt is same as the only difference is of turbo. Both are 3500cc. Please share pictures.
