Very nice jeep. Looks like you are a keen off roader. Does it have a heater, as weather seems to be cold at this place.

By the way my father was born in Hoshiarpur,Julahnder in 1933, that is pre partition.

    thats Life.

it dosent have a Heater. n i never felt
Cold at that harsh weather... i only
felt Exitement.... n i m used to hard
    situations.

about the Tail Lights.... it cost me
about $200. i bought it from CAnada.

Here r some more Pics of My JEEP along
    with my Neice.

This was when i came back form Canada.
So that no one could Steal my Baby, i
    took of one Tyre.
The NO- 29/05 on the Bonnet of the JEEP
is the F.I.R No. I have a case registered against me n my JEEP.
    (Thats a Very Long story)
.... n still i have to go to court for
that case. After i case is over, i m
    parting off with my JEEP.

Some ACHIEVEMENTS of my JEEP includes
    Killing 3 Dogs, 1 Cat & 1 Owl.

Jattboi....cool pics, dude..Have you ,by chance checked out the new Mahindra Legend?.It looks cool in the pic below. The Legend uses the 2112 cc Peugeot XDP4.90 diesel.
It developes 82 bhp @ 4500 rpm and 122 Newton-metre @ 2000 rpm.The power doesn't seem sufficient to me, though it does look good.

Toyota 2c engines in CJ3B jeeps over here are craze. The engine not only fits fine in the Engine bay but gives enough power to make the jeep feel better while offroading. There are reasons for that :-

    1) You do not need to keep thhe jeep 4X4 as a 2C could do the same job with rear wheels only coz first gear ratio of 2C with 8/43 crown pinion differential makes a perfect match to make the jeep somewhat go anywhere machine. I know you need to see yourself to believe but it is true.

2 ) 2C engine is not underpowered anyway coz, power to weight ratio is quite good for a CJ3B ( 1245 kgs ) and also considering its speed levels and transmission gear ratios.

3 ) a CJ3B has a traditional set of leaf spring kind of suspension which is not fit for high speeds of too much power at wheels. There is already to much body roll and the vehicle could easily overturn while cornering at little higher speeds.

    4) Spare parts of a 2C engine are easily available everywhere (In town and cities ) Moreover, a 2C engine rarely encounter any problem and known for its reliability and longevity. On the contrary, 2LT, 2L etc may come cheap ( Rs. 10,000/- less than a 2C ) but they fit tight into the engine bay, spare parts not available everywhere, guzzle more fuel and all above they are more cumbersome and complex than a simple 2C.

    Hello JattBoi,

Nice photos, which place is this ? And what about 4 wheel drive, does your jeep have it?, as you have specified it as RWD. And you managed the terrain without the 4 wheel drive?, cool.

    @amjadch

I feel Jattboi is offline for quite sometime.

In fact, 95% of such jeeps, fabricated in Mandi Dabwali - Malout - Sirsa belt do away with the front wheel drive for reasons.

First of all the engine choice is always a Toyota 2C which comes with a rear wheel only transmission, 2ndly the front wheel differential housing restrict the engine sump chamber. Above all, there are a few places in Punjab or around where these jeeps cannot go without a front wheel setup.

Every village in Punjab ( almost all ) have around 5-8 such jeeps on average. Some have even more. In Chandigarh thre may be around 500 such jeeps.

These jeeps come very cheap at around 1,25,000 to 1,75,000/- depending upon how much you addon like alloys, radials, front independent wheel suspension, leather seats, AC etc ).

The quality and workmanship is remarkable and upto factory standards, if you ask for and ready to shell out just Rs.10,000/- etc for new components for wheels, brakes, meters, battery etc.

Thanks Shergill for the info. I personally think that a Jeep should have its 4 wheel drive setup functioning. It just improves the off-roading experience. & Shergill, how's the Mitsubish Pajero scenario in India ? Is it used any, urban or rural, what about imports, do people import it there? Comment please.

But here all these jeeps are running on roads coz, it is mettelled everywhere ( All our villages and remote places are linked with mettelled roads )and a fourwheel setup comes obstructing somewhere as it is out of need here.

Moreover, Jeep freaks buy these machines for the image and utility purpose only. Actually, young boys buy such machines for College geri routes. Also young farmers choose these as an effetive mode of utility to their farms towing small trollies with seeds, Diesel drums, Urea, etc.
